What I Need To Know

Foot Spa is a foot care treatment to relaxed, help you relieve the stress and
tensions and helps to improve our blood circulation and keep our foot look
healthy and strong, help you get rid of the tensions in muscles
and joints This treatment is done to replenish, restore and rejuvenate naturally
tired foot. It is another way to relax and relieve stress from day to day
activities accompanied by massage and has many beneficial effects. Foot
Spa which is used by professional skin care technicians done in salon and
spa shops was found helpful to combat anti-aging.
Once you learned the concepts about hand spa, this could be your
stepping stone to augment personal income. This activity can be performed at
home.

BENEFITS OF FOOT SPA


To feel clients comfort, they should know benefits of the foot spa. Take
a look at your foot, are you comfortable? How about the appearance, is it
presentable? All of the negative answers was the results of your hard work
and compassion to earned good financial to support our living in which our
foot was our foundation to do our daily task.

Below are the following beneficial effects of foot spa:


• Beneficial in proper blood circulation.
• Helps in relieving stress.
• Helps in relieving arthritic pain.
• Helps in reducing headaches as the nerve points are found in the feet.
• Beneficial in treating acidity and indigestion.
• Known to help in getting proper sleep and reducing the symptoms of
insomnia.
• The foot detoxification in foot spa aids the body from getting rid of toxins.

After knowing the beneficial effects of foot spa and clients comfort is
ensured, one should check and analyzed the foot condition of the client in
which it is very essential to know the condition of it because it will be the basis
if either to proceed in doing the procedure of foot spa.

DIFFERENT FOOT CONDITION

In handling the client, we should really know the condition of the foot of
the clients to avoid mistake. Likewise, client is advised to removed jewelries
and accessories.

CARE OF FOOT SPA TOOLS, SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT

is determined and reported.

FOOT SPA PROCEDURE

1. Prepare the client prior to foot spa.


2. Fill the foot spa machine with warm water,
3. alcohol, and liquid soap.
4. Use a cotton ball soaked in alcohol to sanitize
the client’s feet.
5. Soak the feet for about 10 -15 min. in the foot
spa machine.
6. Brush the foot to remove dead skin cells.
7. Place the foot on a stool and apply exfoliating
scrub to remove any remaining dead skin cells.
8. Apply effleurage on the foot and calf while applying
the foot scrub.
8. Use a foot file to remove any hard skin on the foot.
9. Place the foot in a basin filled with warm water.
Rinse off the scrub. Brush the foot make sure
that all the dirt is removed. Towel dry.
10. Apply Foot blush. Repeat the same procedure
to the other foot.
11. Apply lotion and massage the foot and calf.
Apply effleurage on the calf and thumb
kneading to the sole of the foot.

12. Apply ironing using your knuckles to the sole


then slapping for two repetitions.
