INTRODUCTION

Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice therefore success in career is

determined by practical exposure. In today’s competitive world the need for practical exposure is

relatively higher. Internship program will fulfil this need to certain extend. The internship programs are

designed to provide students engaged in a field experience with an opportunity to share their insights.

Internship provides real world experience to those looking to explore or gain the relevant

knowledge and skills required to enter into a particular career field. Internship are relatively short term

in nature with the primary focus on getting some on the job training and taking what’s learned in the

classroom and applying it to real world. The students who are in internship programme generally have

supervisor who assigns specific tasks and evaluates the interns overall work. There are paid internship

and un-paid engagement. I didn’t get any payment or benefits in monetary form. But I was given much

and much amount of real life skills through my internship. I feel very happy and privilege about it. Lot

of companies in India are providing opportunities for students to do internship with them while they are

still in college and school. This is a wonderful opportunity for the student to get an on job training while

they are studying. I requested the student community who are reading it and aspiring for practical

knowledge to go through a physical and mental training exercise through internship programme.

Generally, an institution consists of an exchange of services for experience between the students

and an organization. Students can also use an institution to determine if they have an interest in a

particular career and create a network of contacts or gain school credit Some internship finds

permanent and paid employment with the organizations for which they worked. This can be a

significant benefit to the employer as experienced internship often needs little or no training when they

begin regular employments. Unlike a trainee program and employment at the completion of an

institutional training is not guaranteed.

I completed my internship program in YESKAY TRADERS from a period of 15 days from 22-

05-2023 to 06-06-2023 .

CHAPTER 4
NATURE OF WORK

Chapter IV
NATURE OF WORK
In a steel laser cutting company, the nature of work typically involves using advanced laser
technology to precisely cut and shape steel materials according to specific designs and
dimensions. Here's an overview of the tasks and processes involved:

1. Material Preparation:
Steel sheets or plates are inspected for quality and proper dimensions. They may be cleaned,
smoothed, or prepped before being loaded onto the laser cutting machine.

2. Programming:
Skilled operators use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create or import design files.
They then program the laser cutting machine, specifying the cutting path, speed, power, and
other parameters.

3. Laser Cutting:
The programmed machine directs a high-powered laser beam onto the steel surface. The intense
heat from the laser beam melts or vaporizes the material along the designated cutting path. This
process creates precise and clean cuts in the steel.

4. Precision Cutting:
Laser cutting is extremely accurate, allowing for intricate and complex designs with minimal
wastage. It can cut various shapes, holes, notches, and patterns in the steel material.

5. Quality Control:
After cutting, the finished pieces are inspected for accuracy, smoothness, and quality. Any
imperfections or deviations are identified and addressed.

6. Value-Added Processes:
Depending on customer requirements, additional processes such as bending, welding, grinding,
or finishing might be performed to create the final product.

7. Packaging and Shipping:

Once the pieces are finished and quality-checked, they are packaged securely for shipment to
the customer. Proper packaging ensures that the steel parts arrive at their destination in optimal
condition.

8. Maintenance and Upkeep:

Regular maintenance of the laser cutting machine is essential to ensure consistent performance
and longevity. This includes cleaning, calibrating, and repairing components as needed.

The work in a steel laser cutting company requires a combination of technical expertise,
attention to detail, and precision. Skilled operators play a crucial role in programming and
operating the laser cutting machines to achieve accurate and high-quality results. The
company's ability to provide customized and efficiently cut steel components makes it valuable
across various industries, including manufacturing, construction, automotive, and more.

CHAPTER VI

CONCLUSION

From the beginning everybody in YESKAY TRADERS office were very nice and tried

to help me as much as possible. I learned more from this training and got a nice and

memorable experience.

I can say that it really has been a great experience. I will never forget the skills and

notions that I learnt during my internship.

My suggestions to this company can expand the business to a large level and make

investments on their own machine instead of outsourcing. They can appoint more number of

skilled and well educated people for the production and the management process. Language

was barrier for the staffs that worked there as the labourers were from the northern India. I

would suggest them either to pick labours who can speak the same language as the office staff

or the office staff try to acquire the basic knowledge about the language that the labours

speak.

The employer can give more advertisement through the media. This will increase the

demand and scales of the product as it is the latest trending products.

The internship training was very useful and it paved way towards the success of my

career by teaching me some life skills. It gave me a practical knowledge of the overall

management of a manufacturing unit and its account maintenance, this would certainly help

me in my present studies and my higher studies.
