 Using attention of the indicator
▲ The load cell and indicator should be reliably connected. The load cell shilded wire should be
grounded.
▲ When the indicator is connected to power supply,could not plug all the connection wire,avoid static
electric damage the indicator or load cell.
▲ Load cell and indicator are static sensitive devices， so static-proof measures should be taken.
▲ In the season of thunder, credible thunder-proof measures should be taken, in order to avoid devices’
damage and operators’ physical safety.
▲ Do not use in the areas of flammable or explosive gases, and pressure vessel.
▲ Load cell and indicator shall be far away from strong electric field, magnetic field, seriously corrosive
materials, and flammable & explosive materials.
▲ Do not use strong solvent (such as：benzene、nitryl oils) to clean the shell。
▲ Do not fill in any liquids or electric granule into the system, so as to avoid device damage or electric
shock to the operators.
▲ It is not allowed to unlock the lead seal without any authorization of technical department. Calibrated
after open lead seal.
☆ Battery is consumable, not including in the guarantee range.
☆ To extend battery life, be sure to fully charged before use.
☆ If the indicator is not working for a long time, the battery should be chaged every two months,each time
should be charged 24 hours.
☆ When transiting or installing, make sure it is carefully managed. Great Vibration, strike or knock should
be avoid to prevent the battery short-connected inside or damaged.
◆ The indicator should be placed flatly and not be in the straight sunshine for clear indication and
long-term service life.
◆ The indicator should not be placed in a vibrating area full of dust, and not in a sloppy environment.
◆ Before plug the connection wire between indicator and external device, you must first cut off the power
supply of indicator.
◆ Regulations about external connection in the manual should be strictly observed. It is not allowed
change the connection at random.
◆ It is not allowed to open the indicator, or we do not guarantee to repair.In the indicator there is high pressure
strong electric,non-professional people do not repair the indicator,avoid to make more big damage to the
indicator ,or accident happen.
◆ If not man-made trouble happens within one year after the date of sale under regular service condition,
we guarantee to keep it in good repair free of charge for life. Please send the troubled indicator and
guarantee card (the serial number should be coincident) to the special repair shop or the supplier.
◆ If it is over gurantee time or man-made trouble ,and the indicator is broken,manufacturer will charge to
repair the indicator.
Cause of function improvement,this manaul would be different with the real product,please contact
with manufacturer for the latest version.

1.0 General
XK3118T16 indicator ， adopts high-strength interference single-chip microprocessor, fixed with
high-precision △-∑ A/D conversion technique. It is used in platform scale、bench scale, ect.
Main functions： accumulating、up and down limit ,peak keeping,average value,RS232 ,scoreboard.

▲！Connection between load cell and indicator must be reliable; Connection or disconnection are not
allowed when the indicator is on, which may damage the indicator or load cells.
▲！Static protection must be properly adopted as the load cell and indicator are all static sensitive
equipments. Welding or other strong electricity operation should be strictly forbidden. During
thunderstorm season, proper lightening protection should be taken care of to protect the load cells
and indicators from damaging by lightening and to ensure the personal safety and the safely running
of the weighing and related equipments.
3.0 OPERATION
3.1 KEY INSTRUCTION

Note： below use “↙” to replace.

3.2 Power on and auto-zero
Indicator power supply is controlled by on-off key. After power-on, the indicator will first self-check
automatically. Even if the platform departs zero, It will be zero as long as it is within the zero range. The
indicator will show zero and the light of “Zero” will shine. If it departs over zero range, it will show current
reading.
When the indicator turn on,press on-off key(about two seconds),the indicator is power-off.
The back side of the indicator,there is a switch ,it is for AC power supply.

3.2 MANNUALLY ZERO

Indicator will back to zero when pressing “ZERO” key if the gross weight is within the range of manually zero
and stable. Manually zero is not valid under the “NET” displaying mode;
3.3 TARE
TARE Operation can be carried out if both gross weight and net weight are above zero and stable. The
indicator will display “0” after pressing the “TARE” key. The tared weight is current gross weight. And the
indicator will enter “NET” displaying mode and the “NET” indicator lights will be on;
The indicator will exit “NET” displaying mode after pressing “TARE” when the gross weight is “0” .Under “NET”
displaying mode,press “C" will exit “NET” displaying mode.

3.5 Accumulating、Accumulating display and accumulating deletion

When net weight is over min capacity（ 5 division values）and stable, press“Σ”to add present net weights.
The light of “Total”will shine, and show total value. 1 seconds later, it will show accumulated times【n ***】，another
1 second later, it will exit from accumulation status. Next operation should be done when net weight is less than min
weighing capacity;
Press“Σ” for a long time in the status of weighing, and stop until the buzzer rings. At this time,“Fn” and “Total” will
shines and you can see total accumulating value. Press “↙”to check the accumulating time, then press“↙”to exit；
Press“Σ” for a long time to accumulating display, press key “→”the indicator will show【CLRAr-】 ，which means to
delete the accumulating values or not. Press“↙”to delete. Press“ C”to exit, but not delete.

Operation as below：

Note：During kg and lb unit switching,the indicator automatically remove cumulative data and cumulative times.
3.6 OTHER PARAMETER SETTING AND FUNCTION
Parameter setting mode can be entered if keep pressing “FUNCTION” under normal weighing status until
buzzer alarms. Detailed operations are as follows:

If weight is higher than High setting the “HI” light will be on

Note:1 、 If low setting value is higher than high setting
value,weight function would be abnormal.2、If kg and lb unit
changing,high and low setting need be redone.

Set brightness:press key“↑”,and choose from“0～7”，the brightness

★ If complete parameter settings, just press "C" key to quickly exit;During parameter setting, if more
than 3 minutes not operate, it will automatic return to weighing mode.
Kg lb unit switching:

When allow kg and lb Units switching, press key "FN" to switch unit kg and lb.

Peak Features:
In some cases, need to collect some of the peaks, and the function is designed for this situation.
When you press the "M" key, the instrument will be in general mode, peak mode, the average mode. When the
peak indicator light,the instrument go into peak detection status.When the weight is less than 5d,peak hold for
8 seconds,then automatically cleared.When the new peak value is bigger than old one,the max value update
automatically.Or the max value would not update.Press key "C",could quickly clear the peak value,re-test the
peak value.

Under peak hold status, the upper and lower check weighing function, cumulative, tare is invalid.

Average Features:
In some cases, need to be dynamic weighing, the weighing platform is not stable at this time. Instrument will
automatically collect the weight and calculate based on the average.If it is in the range of average,the result
would be locked.If it is not in the range,the instrument will unlock the value.When the zero indicator light,the
instrument automatically remove lock value.
When the peak and average instruction light off,the instrument is under normal weighing state.

Check weighing Features:

In some cases, need to re-check function, when the weight is less or equal than lower limit setting value, the
lower indicator "LO" light, when the weigh is between the upper and lower limit setting value, qualified light
"OK" light, when the weight is greater or equal to the upper limit setting value, the maximum light "HI" light.
Note: upper and lower limits setting value
COMMUNICATION MODE FORMAT:

3.7 Battery Maintenance and Caution

The indicator uses 6V/4A battery. If the indicator is fully charged,no power save mode,could continue work 30
hours.If under power save mode,could use 10 hours more.When connect with AC,and open the back side of the
indicator,indicator will charge the battery automatically. The AC pilot lamp get lighted.
Battery is consumable, not including in the guarantee range.

3.8 Low Battery Alarm and Auto Turn Off

When use battery only for working,if voltage is more than 6.1V,three pilot lamps all get lighted.If voltage is between
5.8~6.1V,two pilot lamps get lighted.If voltage is between 5.5~5.8V,one pilot lamp get lighted.If the voltage is close to
5.5V,the indicator will turn off automatically.
4.0 ERROR NOTICE
