ROUTINE
Prayer

Words of the Day

Develop the students’ vocabulary skills through this routine. The word

A Mystery Box will be shown in the class. The mystery box contains items
that will be described by the students using their different senses.
Participants will be blindfolded at the beginning of this activity.

C. Presenting examples/ Before giving examples of adjectives used in sentences, let the students

Discuss what adjectives are. Then, through a PowerPoint Presentation,
show pictures and let the students describe the pictures shown. Here are
some of the examples:

Note: The chips given to the students during recitation vary based on the
question’s level of difficulty.
Literal Question: 1 point- Belle and the Beast (from the movie “Beauty
and the Beast”)
Inferential Question: 2 points- Carl and Ellie (from the movie “Up”)
Critical Question: 3 points- Mr. and Mrs. Incredible (from the movie
series “The Incredibles”)

(The theme “Disney and Pixar couples” was thought of in line with the
celebration of Valentine’s Day every February. This technique gives
students a glimpse of this celebration while incorporating Disneyland’s
concept.)
Easter Egg Hunt
Pick 10 names from the fishbowl. The students randomly selected will
participate in the Easter Egg Hunt.
D. Discussing new
concepts and practicing Task: Each participant needs to look for an Easter Egg in the room. Each
new skills
egg contains a noun.

Afterwards, the students need to describe the nouns they found inside the
Easter eggs.
Group the students into five.

Through Differentiated Instruction, the students will exemplify their


mastery of the lesson.

The following tasks are assigned to the power groups:


Group 1: Your Voice Sounds Familiar. Using the tune of the nursery
rhyme “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”, compose and sing a song

Assessment 3) Group 2: The Word Masters. List down adjectives that begin from letter A
to M.
Group 3: Paint me a Picture! Demonstrate the adjectives given by the
teacher.
Group 4: The Big Three. Draw three objects that are large.
Group 5: Describe It! Describe the pictures given by the teacher.

The criteria in evaluating the performance tasks will be shared to the


students.
F. Making generalizations The gist of the lesson will be explained and enjoyed together in class
and abstractions about through a song. After singing the song, a few students will be called to
the lesson share what they learned about today’s lesson.
G. Evaluating learning
Identify the adjectives in the voice recordings to be played.

Assignment:
H. Additional activities for
application or Cut out five pictures from old magazines or newspapers. Describe each
remediation picture below in a complete sentence then underline the adjective used.
Do this on a short bond paper.
