Job Purpose

Ensure L&T DCCS and Its Customers business continuity by providing 24/7 Network Support. Experience of
handling Enterprise or Datacentres LAN/WAN Infrastructure (Router and Switches Juniper, Cisco and Dell), Load
Balancers F5, Citrix Netscaler , Juniper , Array Network ,DDOS and WAF and perform day to day Network
operational activities (configuring , Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Resolution of reported issues
alerts/Incidents) reported by Customers & Managing L1 team.

Network Operations Center Team Lead responsibility to come up with innovative solutions to various
networking problems and ensures that customer needs are properly defined and satisfactorily met. Implements
and evaluates the working of networking systems and stays abreast of new technologies emerging in the
industry

Role Description

Key Responsibilities

 Responsible for managing and coordinating the NOC team. The main aim for this
coordination is to ensure that the networking system runs efficiently without interruption
 Monitoring and managing network operations and resolving network problems as they arise
 Providing end-to-end visibility across all data Center components including computers,
storage, network and software
 Configuring & monitoring the network through Orion Network monitoring tool. Network
devices includes Routers, Switches, Servers, VoIP Devices, and UPS etc.
 Troubleshooting with carrier on circuit issue and working with vendor on hardware devices.
 Escalating the issue to Concerned Teams, Network, Storage and Server owners when it
requires.
 Publishing the outage and maintenance forums when there is an outage or change
management.
 Setting up KPI, Learning activities for team members
 Preparing Weekly /Monthly performance reporting including Network devices and SLA,
publish to internal stake Holder and Customers
 Knowledge and experience of system and network infrastructures such as LAN and WAN
network technologies, server virtualization, enterprise storage area network (SAN) and
backup, enterprise performance and fault monitoring tools.
 Keeping the track of information on Network Infrastructure at IDC and Branches.
 Participate in Recruitment, Training of engineers and Team
 Preparing of Daily, Weekly & Monthly reports (capacity, Availability, utilisation metrics).
 Work with Customers on service improvement Plans
 Work with Next level engineers on with ITOM/Tools

 Creating dashboard to Monitor OLA & SLA and Publishing to internal/External Stake
Holders.
 To ensure maximum possible service availability and performance.
 Analyses SLA/OLA and Prepare and Implement the SIP to meet OLAs and SLAs

Experience & Educational Requirements


Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required)

Diploma, BE/B.Tech or Any degree with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure
required)

 8-12 experience in NOC and L1 Support team.


 Primarily deals with users, customers, vendors, engineers and the whole technical team.
 Coordinates the duty shift table for the NOC operations and carefully allocates staff
members (NOC engineers) on different shift duties for ensuring the whole NOC shift works in
an efficient and effective manner
 Professional Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Security, CCSA, PCNSE, NSE 4 etc, CISA, AWS,
GMON, ITIL

 Willingness and ability to learn new products and network technologies quickly, often without the
focus of formalized training.
 Be able to communicate about networking issues effectively and in a comprehensible manner both to
clients and employees
 Resolving incoming client and personnel IT queries remotely via email and phone, or at the office.
 Prioritizing and resolving IT concerns and escalating serious issues to relevant stakeholders.
 Avoiding service interruptions by performing system installations, updates, and maintenance
procedures.
 Preparing training manuals and FAQ materials for easy-access end-user guidance.
 Documenting processes and maintaining service desk records.
 Routing protocols like EIGRP OSPF, IS-IS and BGP and At least one leading router series like
CISCO: ISR 1k/2k/3k/4k and ASR series 1000, Juniper MX Series Routers, etc.
 Switch technologies: STP, RSTP, MST and vPC and at least one leading switch series like
CISCO: NexUS 9k, 7k, 5k, 3k and 2k, and Juniper EX Series Switches, etc.
 Wireless: Cisco and Aruba unified wireless network architecture
 WAN Optimizers: Riverbed Steelhead and Cisco WaaS
 Network Monitoring Tools: Cisco Prime, Solarwinds, Wireshark and iperf/jperf, Checkmk
 Load balancers: F5 LTM, F5 GTM/DNS, or Citrix Netscalaer ADC
 Making recommendations to optimize IT performance and to prevent future problems.
 Collaborating with internal departments to ensure that IT needs are met.
 Keeping informed of advancements in IT.
