EFFECT OF PREG ON DISEASE
In our blood, there are substances which stop bleeding after an injury and other substances that
Prevent the blood from clotting inside the body and allow it to keep flowwing
There is a delicate balance between these two systems
However some situations can increase the tendency of blood to form clots in the legs that can travel to
Lungs and brain and cause serious problems
Like pregnancy, surgery ,certain inherited defects in blood
Someone who has once suffered a clot is more prone to do so in pregnancy
