Objectives: at the end of the lesson you
are expected to:
a. Describe the different seasons in
the Philippines
b. demonstrate proper safety
precautions during wet/rainy, and
dry season
c. appreciates the importance of
knowing the different seasons in the
Philippines
1. Be aware of any unusual volcanic
activity.
2. Listen to the radio or people of
authority for safety instructions.
3. Prepare emergency supplies like a flashlight,
candle matches, and a first aid kit.
1. Stay indoors.
2. Cover your nose with a mask or damp cloth
when volcanic ash or dust is present in the air.
3. Keep your food and water covered.
1. Avoid crossing a bridge when lahar
flows under it.
2. Remove ash from your mouth.
3. Check if your drinking water is clear and if
the electrical wirings at home are intact and safe.
Season - is a period of th e year
that is distinguished by special
climate conditions.
Wet Season - is the time of year
when most of a region’s average
annual rainfall occurs.
Dry Season - is a yearly period
of low rainfall, especially in the
tropics.
