Street Naming
Under the Section 198 of the Pradeshiya Sabha Act, No. 15 of 1987 and Act, No. 12 of the Provincial Council (Ancillary
+ Provisions) Act of 1989, Pradeshiya Sabha passed the proposal to name the following Schedule under the authority limits
of the Ambalangoda Pradeshiya Sabha under the ‘proposed name’ of the street schedule approved according to Section 2 (1)
(a) by the Honarable Governor.
Accordingly, I hereby announce that this road will hereafter be known by the proposed name.

gampaha municipal council
Sub-section 130 of the Municipal Council Ordinance and the Sub-rules of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
No. 541/17 and Sub-rules adopted in the special Gazette of 20.01.1989 (Extraordinary Gazette) under Section X that avoid
the damage by the law Sub-section 20 and according to the Waste Management Authority Act, No. 01 of 2007 and the solid
Waste Management Subsidiary Rules of the Western Provincial Council, it has been resolved to pay a monthly fee from 01st
January, 2023 to remove trash from Commercial Enterprises within the limits of the City Council.
Garbage can is ash, rubbish, garbage, debris, sewage, sanitary wastages, cow dung and any other disposable
material.
I hereby inform that the measurement and disposal fee of the disposed garbage will be as follows and will be
implemented within the jurisdiction of the Gampaha Municipal Council from 01.01.2023.

Part IV (B) – Gazette of the democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka – 03.03.2023
THE Weekly issue of the Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is normally published on
Fridays. If a Friday happens to be a Public Holiday the Gazette is published on the working day immediately
preceding the Friday. Thus the last date specified for the receipt of notices for publication in the Gazette also
varies depending on the incidence of public holidays in the week concerned.
The Schedule below shows the date of publication and the latest time by which notices should be
received for publication in the respective weekly Gazette. All notices received out of times specified below
will not be published. Such notices will be returned to the sender by post for necessary amendment and return
if publication is desired in a subsequent issue of the Gazette. It will be in the interest of all concerned if those
desirous of ensuring the timely publication of notices in the Gazette make it a point to see that sufficient time is
allowed for postal transmission of notices to the Government Press.
The Government Printer accept payments of subscription for the Government Gazette.
Note.—Payments for inserting Notices in the Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
will be received by the Government Printer.
