Playing games is more enjoyable when it is
done with your friends and classmates.
This unit will give you insights on how you can
be fit while enjoying playing team sports.
Aside from sharing enjoyment with classmates,
one will be able to acquire good cardiovascular
endurance and build muscles and strengthen
bones.

There are several skills that one shoud
develop in order to pay Basketball.
SHOOTING is the one skills that scores
points. However, the game basketball
is not all about shooting.
These skills include Passing, Dribbling,
Catching, Stealing, Rebounding, and
Blocking.
Each one of these skills can be
developed over time through practice.
WARM-UP EXERCISE

1. Jog around the areafor five rounds, then


walk around for three more rounds.
2. Shoulder Rotation: roll to the front for eight
counts, roll the back for eight counts.
3. Arm swings: eight counts
4. Trunk twist for sixteen counts, right and
left.
5. Squats: do this exercise for sixteen counts,
alternately right and left.

1. Always keep your eyes on the ball
2. Move to the direction of the ball to catch it
properly
3. Spread your fingers well, then slightly "cup"
palms to ready for catch
4. Relax arms to catch the ball
