UNIT 7: VIETNAM AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS
Lesson 7: Communication and Culture/ CLIL - Making and responding to invitations

I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge
- To make and respond to invitations.
- To learn about FAO and its activities to support Viet Nam.
2. Core competence
- To develop communication and creativity skills.
- To be collaborative and supportive in pair works and team works.
- To develop presentation skills.
3. Personal qualities
- To understand more about the relationship between Viet Nam and FAO.
- To be respectful towards all international organisations.

II. MATERIALS
- Grade 10 textbook, Unit 7, Communication and Culture/CLIL
- Computer connected to the internet
- Projector/ TV/ pictures and cards
- Handouts

III. PROCEDURES

UP knowledge of - T divides Ss into four groups and introduces T-S mins

expression from the box.

to read the conversations. T elicits the
meaning and the use of the expressions in the
word box, e.g., C and D – to make an
invitation; A – to accept an invitation and B –
to reject an invitation. Ss practise the
conversation in pairs.
