INTRODUCTION

As part of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) activity point

programme, the students of VII Sem Mechanical Engineering students visited Kagalavadi

village to contribute the Awareness of “Women Empowerment”.

To spread awareness about the importance of women empowerment in villages

through AICTE Activity point Programme was conducted. Aim of this programme is to

create awareness towards women empowerment. A group of 2 students held a program in

kagalavadi village hall and guided women towards the scheme and polices provided by

Government of India, and to encourage the women to the equality and their rights etc.

We gave awareness to empower women in rural areas of India, by teaching them

essential employment and self – development skills. And we all give opportunities for young

women and prevent them from entering the ring of human trafficking and prostitution. And it

is also important to give them education and make aware about empowering women to

transcend the limits of society and build themselves a better future.

As rural students and other village women are not aware of woman empowerment we

students should educate or awareness about importance of women empowerment and their

valuable contributions to the nation.
