    ENT'RACTE MUSICAL THEATRE
    & DRAMA SOCIETY
    Ent'racte is an Irish amateur musical theatre and dramatic society
    based in Dublin. Ent'racte aims to provide a space for Dublin-based
    creatives to come together and perform and collaborate on a level
    playing field.
    OUR STORY
    As the pandemic hit in March 2020, it became clear that young performers were losing their motivation to join the
    performance industry. As amateur and professional shows were cancelled, young performers began to abandon
    their career plans in theatre in search of something "safer". Many found jobs in the Irish tech and professional
    services industries, but did not lose their love for performing; They simply didn't have an artistic outlet. As a result,
    we established "Entr'acte" a space for young Irish graduates to hone their craft and continue their love of the arts,
    without necessarily committing to it as a career.

    Entr'acte comprises creatives of all kinds hailing from across all four corners of the island of Ireland, and beyond.

    Entr'acte's community stretches far beyond the stage, and includes artists of all classes - Actors, Dancers, Singers,
    Directors, Producers, Musicians, Choreographers, Costume Designers, Lighting Designers, Theatre Tech, Sound
    Engineers, Set Designers, Stage Management, Graphic Designers, Intimacy Coordinators, Videographers,
    Photographers, etc.

    As a member of The Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS), Entr'acte's reach extends to over XYZ musical
    societies across the island of Ireland.
    CURRENT PRODUCTION
    Entr’acte's production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical
    Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood
    with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable.
    The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality, and
    rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the country.

    Following Entr’acte's sold out production of Spring Awakening in


    January 2023, Entr’acte is delighted to be producing a rerun of this
    performance in Smock Alley Theatre from April 13th-15th, 2023. The
    cast and crew of Entr'acte's Spring Awakening comprise a group of
    young Irish creatives who tell this coming of age story through an
    innately physical performance on stage.
