TECHNOLOGY

You are hereby designated as Program Chair of Bachelor in Agricultural Technology


effective August 1, 2022. As such you are expected to perform the following tasks in addition to
your responsibility as a faculty member of SorSU Castilla Campus:
1. Assist the Campus Director in all matters affecting the educational, instructional and
administrative policies of the BAT program;
2. Provide academic leadership among students, faculty and project staffs,
implementing order and discipline for their general welfare;
a. Recommend/Approved study loads and entry of students in/out of the BAT
Program.
b. Prepare, monitor, implement and evaluate class programs in coordination
with the Campus Director and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
c. Ensure that BSA is compliant to the CHED Policies, Standards and Guidelines
for the Program and issued with a Certificate of Compliance annually by
CHED RO V.
d. Recommend curriculum revision/enrichment to the Campus Administrator,
to be presented to the Academic Council.
e. Ensure that the course requirement along the approved program is
implemented.
3. Promote, encourage and sustain quality and excellence in academics and co-
curricular activities along:
a. Establishment/Sustainability of arboretum, root crops, rice, swine, layers,
broilers, postharvest facilities, farm machineries, equipment, irrigation
facilities and ornamental projects/Center as research, extension and
demonstration farm/site priorities for BAT
4. Lead in the establishment of quality and culture of excellence thru program
accreditation, AACUP, ISO, ISA evaluation among others
5. Submits plans, proposals, accomplishment reports and reports of issues and
concerns to the Campus Director.
6. Prepares faculty workloads, classroom utilization, teachers and class programs and
enumerate student (collaborate with student services), faculty and project staff
needs for approval of Campus Administrator.
7. Prepares faculty development plan and recommends to the Campus Administrator
the faculty members prioritized for professional development with identified
relevant opportunities, trainings and scholarships.
8. Conducts regular meetings, semestral planning, monitoring and evaluating of
performance of the faculty using IPCR/OPCR under BSA department with the
approved Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS).
9. Conducts a tracer study of BAT Program
10. Implement interventions to ensure an accepted passing rate of National
Competency takers
11. Establish and maintain linkages with LGUs, DA, DOST, CHED and HEIs among others.
12. Conduct benchmarking especially with SUCs Level IV and COEs and COD along
BAT/Agriculture Education.
13. Initiate activities on the maintenance of the cleanliness and orderliness of the
assigned for the department.
14. Perform such other related functions as may be assigned to him by the Campus
Director.

This designation will not entail additional compensation except for reimbursement of
expenses incurred in the approved performance of duties and responsibilities outside the
official station.
