We put emphasis on the up-front identification and analysis of project risks and its impact on project cost, duration, and effort. As such, after the initial development wherein the initial estimates usually do not consider yet the project risks, we then go through the exercise of identifying such risks that may impact each and every task, then come up with a 3-point estimates on the task duration as follows: y fastest time to complete (optimistic estimate) y most likely time to complete y latest time to complete (conservative estimate). These estimates are then subjected to Monte Carlo statistical analysis to derive the probabilities or likelihood of hitting those estimates. With this approach, estimates on project duration, cost, and effort given the identified risks are likely to deviate from the actual at the minimum, thus nearly or even hitting the optimal utilization of time, money, manpower and other resources utilized for the project, giving as well, optimal value for the client.
