School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Best Practices (2022)

The SBFP is in accordance with the R. A. President Duterte signed Executive

Order 11307, which was later amended to include the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. The
objectives of this Act are also the primary goals of the school: to address hunger, improve
nutritional status, provide nourishment, and improve learners' health values and behavior.
The IES School-based Feeding Program best practices are as follows in order to strengthen
these goals and objectives:

1. open communication with parents, information dissemination, and interactive participation

2. establishing a home garden with the seedlings provided by the school
3. used readily available resources from Gulayan sa Paaralan
4. involved volunteers for services in packing and delivery of food packs and milk
5. Volunteer services provided by the community
6. Faculty and staff collaboration for the program
7. The sale of harvested resources generated revenue.

These practices helped us in achieving the goal of the school-Based Feeding

Program. With the help of others, assisting the undernourished learners in improving their
nutritional status is our great accomplishment.
