Physical Development
The mother of the learner was physically fit during her pregnancy that’s
why there’s nothing wrong with the learner’s physical development. However, the
learner started to walk at her 1 year. She’s also easy to have a mild cough by only
just from the cold weather. Her height and body are just an average for a 5-year-
old kid.
Social Development
The learner is shy most of the time. She only wants her younger sibling to
be her playmate. Some of the factors of these behavior is the rule of the parents
including of not going out and talk to anybody else or strangers. She seems to be
liked by others and friendly inside the classroom.
Emotional-Moral Development
The parents of the kid is very supportive and they expect her to be a
teacher someday. They are always there when the learner feels down or has a
problem and this gives a good impact to her emotional-moral development.
Cognitive Development
The learner is into drawing and writing. She’s also very good at
numeracy. With this matter, the parents motivate and monitor her performance
through checking her work every day. They also keep the kid in touch with the
lessons being taught to the learner that helps improve her cognitive development.

ANALYZE
Your findings and recommendations in the Learner Development Profile will
help you answer the question here.
1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the style of parenting
experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.
I think the Parenting style experienced by the learner is the “Authorative”.
Parents have rules to the kids yet they have a reasonable of setting that rules.
They limit the kid in an outside environment for her own safety. They make
the children understand of the consequences they might going to face if they
won’t follow them.
2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what family
factors do you think contribute to the development and over-all adjustment of the
learner in school?
I think, these are the values, support and the expectations of the parents to
the learner.
4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the development
and learning of the students? Who are the people or which intuitions can the teacher
tap to seek advice regarding the development and learning of students?
REFLECT
1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you experience?
How did it affect you?
2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home-school collaboration? How can
you work well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you?
For me, I will first ask them about the behavior of the learners at home then also tell
them on how the kids behave in the class. We will be going to talk about on how to
deal with them and what actions will fit to the behavior in order to improve their
intellectual and skills. In this manner, also, I will become aware on how to handle the
kids as well the parents on how to help the kids learn.
