He will be safe if he reach the border which is 40km away. But the police are late and he is

already travelled 10km ahead.

(a) How many distance left for the robber to travel to the border when the police started
chasing him?
(b) Calculate how long it takes the robber to reach to the border from the start.
(c) With what speed should the police car travel in order to catch the robber before he
reached the border? [7]
