The Botswana Tourism Industry has come up with a number of strategies to enhance the
local market; one of these strategies is the provision of concessionary rates extended over a

Descending from the highlands of Angola to the Kalahari. This unique link between large
bodies of water and the sand-covered or savannah landscape of the Kalahari has produced
a wide range of flora and fauna which makes the Delta one of the largest nature paradises
in the world. About one third of the area of the Delta forms part of Moremi Game Reserve,
the oldest game reserve in Botswana, the best game viewing area and the first of its kind

A series of salt pans covering an area the size of Portugal – presents a spine – tingling
experience for any visitor. During the dry season these former prehistoric lakes are vast

attracting migrating herds (plus their predators) and migrating flocks, including ducks,
geese and great white pelicans. With nothing around for hundreds of miles and spread

Chobe National Park

The place for wildlife experiences. Chobe is a spotter’s paradise and is one of the best
places in the world to see elephants. An estimated 120,000 elephants live in the Park. The
river is also the destination of other large herds including Cape Buffalo and Burchell’s Zebra.

resources conservation by forming the world’s first ever Transforntier Park “Kgalagadi
Transfrontier Park” in Southern Africa. The formation of this park was merging the formerly
known as Gemsbok National Park, which is 28,400km2 and lies in the extreme southwest
of Botswana, and the formerly known as Kalahari Gemsbok National Park which is 9,591
km2 in the South African side.

The combined land area of the KTP is about 38,000 km2. Almost 75% of this Park is in

What you need to know about COVID-19
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an illness caused by a virus that can spread from person
to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are expelled when a
person with Covid-19 sneezes, coughs or speaks. Covid-19 is now a pandemic affecting
most countries globally including Botswana.

To protect yourself and others you must:

• Wash hands - keep washing your hands regularly
• Cover face - wear a face mask covering over your nose and mouth in enclosed spaces
• Social distancing – always stay at least a metre away from people around you at all
times
• Immediately Report any ailment similar to identified COVID-19 symptoms
• Comply with all Government set COVID-19 National Protocols
