With this pattern you will get the Jar Jar Binks 33 cm (13″) high (the dimension depends on yarn size and crochet
hook size).
Gauge
Gauge for the body: 15 sc x 15 rds to 2 inch x 2 inch (hook size US B/1 or 2.0 mm)
3) with white yarn: inc, 11sc, inc, change to skin color: inc, 10sc, inc. (29sts)
4) with white yarn: inc, 14sc, inc, change to skin color: inc, 11sc, inc. (33sts)
Now embroider the pupil with black thread, inserting the needle into the center of the eye and sew one stitch up
to the upper edge of the eye. Then reinsert the needle into the center of the eye and make one stitch at the
Bottom edge of the eye.
Continue until the pupil is the thickness you prefer. In the same way work with white thread, but only once. Use
photos as a guide. Then with the brown thread make a line above the pupil.
Fasten the eye with sewing pins to the center of the eye detail between Rounds 4 and 9 and sew it, using regular
sewing yellow thread. See photos on the next page.
Now sew the upper eyelid only at the top edge and at the sides. The lower edge of this eyelid should hang over
the eye.
Use sewing pins to attach the formed eyes to the head before sewing to get symmetrical result. Sew eyes through
the front loops, using a tapestry needle and the yarn tail.
Do not cut the yarn for third toe, but join all three toes together into a foot:
5) 6sc along current toe (3rd toe), 6sc along the 2nd toe, connecting the two toes, 12sc around the remaining toe
(the 1st toe), 6sc again along the 2nd toe, 6sc again along the 3rd toe. You should now have one whole piece
consisting of 36 stitches around.
Pants-Legs (make 2)
Crochet in spiral rounds with brown color.
Left leg
Leave a long starting yarn that you will need later to sew the leg onto the feet.
1) Make Ch24. Do not overtighten the chains. Join to the first chain with Slst (count as first st of round) forming a
circle, 23 sc. (24sts)
Before filling the leg, you will need to sew the feet to the leg. Use a tapestry needle and the yarn tail.
Tip: Use the sewing pins to fasten the leg to the feet and find the right position.

Sew the nails with the regular sewing thread to the fingers. Embroider the arms with circular motifs in orange
color. I split the yarn and remove one thread to get it slim.
Use sewing pins to fasten the arms to the body before sewing to get symmetrical result.
To make arms flexible, make a simple wire carcass. Insert it into middle finger. If the wire has no coating, it's
better to wrap it with fabric stitching tape.
3) From 2nd Ch from the hook crochet 24sc, turn. (24sts) The last 4 sts remain unworked.
7) From 2nd Ch from the hook crochet 24sc, turn. (24sts) The last 4 sts remain unworked.
9) From 2nd Ch from the hook crochet 24sc, turn. (24sts) The last 4 sts remain unworked.
13) Skip first stitch and make 23sc, go down to Row 8 and crochet 4sc along the unworked sts of Row 8, turn.
(27sts) See photos.
15) 22sc, go down to Row 6 and crochet 4sc along the unworked sts of Row 6, turn. (26sts)
Now crochet the second detail in the same way, but do not cut the yarn.
Put the details together. Insert the hook through loops of both stitches and work sc around the edge of the ear.
Fasten off and leave a long thread to sew to the head.
Crochet the second ear in the same way. Iron the ear if necessary.

3-5) 40hdc, Ch2, turn. (3 rows)
Now make right part of the vest.
Without trimming the yarn work:
1-3) 6hdc, Ch2, turn. (3 rows)
4) hdc2tog, 2hdc, hdc2tog. (4sts)

Now, we make the edging of the vest, working evenly sc, as show in the photo below. Then make the top seams
on the shoulders, joining the back with the front straps of the waistcoat. Use regular sewing thread.
2) 7sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 6sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 4sc. (57sts)
