2-3) Ch1, 42sc, join with sl st to the 1st sc (2 rows). Cut the yarn and hide it.

Shape the head of Jar Jar Binks

Step 1: Nostrils Shaping
First mark the places for the nostrils with pins, symmetrical to the mouth, between rounds 9 and 10 with 5
stitches space between (see 1st photo).
Take a long needle with skin yarn. Insert the needle from the inside (through the hole) and draw it out the Point
#1 (see 2nd photo). Step aside a little bit (to seize the 1 stitch) and insert the needle at the Point #2, then draw it
out the hole (see 3rd photo). Repeat this movement 3-4 times, each time not forgetting to tighten the ends. Pull
and tie the ends in a knot. Make the other nostril in the same way. Use the photos below as a guide for needle
movements.

Step 2: Teeth
Embroider the teeth with black thread. Starting from the center, make 7 vertical lines (see photo). Embroider the
horizontal line one corner of the mouth to another corner. Hide the yarn in the unfinished hole.

Step 3: Nose Shaping

In the places where we previously formed the nostrils, we begin to shape the nose. In the second photo I drew
the lines so that you understand the points of the for needle movements. After each stitch a little we tighten the
thread, try to "fashion" the nose.

Copyright 2020. All rights reserved. ©CrochetPatternWorld. 5

After modeling the nose, go to finish shaping the nostrils. Take a long needle with skin yarn and insert it into the
opening hole. Pull out the needle 3 rows down from nostril point. Reinsert the needle to a nearby stitch and draw
it out the opening hole. Pull slightly. Repeat this movement 2-3 times. Pull the ends through the opening hole and
tie them in a knot. Repeat the same needle movements with second nostril, using photos as a guide.
In this way we will make the nostrils more noticeable, and we will get the small hump at the nose.

Eyes (make 2)
In yellow color
1) Magic ring, 2sc, 1hdc, 1DC, Ch1, 1hdc, 2sc, 1hdc, 1DC, Ch1, 1hdc, join with sl st to the 1st sc. (10sts, 2 Ch)
Knot the yarns well on the back and cut them short.

Now embroider the pupil with black thread, inserting the needle into the center of the eye and sew one stitch up
to the upper edge of the eye. Then reinsert the needle into the center of the eye and make one stitch at the
Bottom edge of the eye.
Continue until the pupil is the thickness you prefer. In the same way work with white thread, but only once. Use
photos as a guide. Then with the brown thread make a line above the pupil.

Sew the lower eyelid with regular sewing skin thread around the entire edge.

Now sew the upper eyelid only at the top edge and at the sides. The lower edge of this eyelid should hang over
the eye.

Assembling the head

Make sure the body is stuffed firmly, especially the neck (it’s even better to overstuff the neck for extra strength)
and sew the head onto the body. Insert the wire into the central loop (see photo) of the head to make the neck
more stable. Don't forget to fill the neck while sewing.
Tip: Use sewing pins to attach the head to the body before sewing to get symmetrical result.
Using blush, lightly shade the ears, nostrils and top of head to your liking.
