planners WEEKLY. The website calendar will also have important events and assignments listed. Parents
and students are encouraged to sign up for “Bloomz” via the app. This is a fast way that your teacher can
send reminders.

Classroom and Grading Procedures

• Students are expected to enter classroom in an orderly manner. They should have all materials
(sharpened pencil, paper, homework, workbook, folder, etc.) on their desk before the bell rings.
• NO CELL PHONES- unless permitted by the teacher. (see handbook)
• Grades will include daily work, homework, projects, class participation, quizzes, and test.
o Completion of daily work, homework, and class participation will prepare the student for any
and all assessments that will be taken.
• Routine homework assignments will be assigned twice a week. Monday’s homework will be due
Wednesday; Wednesday’s homework will be due Friday. (Unless otherwise noted)
• Students will be allowed to make up work missed due to an EXCUSED ABSENCE without penalty. It
will be the student’s responsibility to secure make up work from teacher as soon as possible.
• Math test and quizzes will be on FRIDAYS. (Pop quiz can be given any day)
• Retake for quizzes/tests: ONLY students that score below 70% will have a chance to retake each
quiz/test. The teacher will determine the retake date and only excused absences will allow for a
different makeup date. The new score will be an AVERAGE of the original and retake grades, not to
exceed 70%.
• Cheating- “the actual or attempted practice of fraudulent or deceptive acts for the purpose of
improving one’s grade or obtaining class credit; such acts also include assisting another student to
do so.” (See handbook for more information) o If cheating has been proven, the student will
receive a zero on the assignment, a ticket and parents will be notified. o If cheating is suspected
but not proven, the student will be given another opportunity to demonstrate mastery.
