putting the plan in writing and making it part of company's policy demonstrates a commitment to
employees' health and safety and helps to involve them in the process of improving workplace safety.
OSHA suggests posting the policy next to the OSHA workplace poster, if the business has one.
Businesses with 10 or fewer employees are exempt from most OSHA reporting requirements.
However, good record-keeping can help business owners and identify and resolve health and safety
issues. The records may also support a company's credit applications and insurance and other audits,
according to OSHA. The agency recommends documenting all efforts a company takes in developing
and implementing its safety plan. The company should also document each injury or work-related
illness requiring more treatment than first aid and prepare an annual summary using OSHA Form
300A. Managers should consider including even those incidences where illness or injury may have
resulted but did not. Penalties that can be imposed is Section 19 under section 15-18, fine will not
exceeding RM50,000, imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both

In section 30, SHC must be establish if there are 40 or more employees at the workplace. Consist of
chairman, secretary, management representatives and employees’ representatives. Preventing a
mismatch between individual board members attitudes, behavior or decisions and the organization’s
Safety Statement so as not to undermine workers belief in maintaining good safety and health
standards. The organization needs to understand how human factors affect safety and health
performance. Senior executive directors or other senior management controlling body members and
executive senior managers are primarily responsible for safety and health management in the
organization. These people need to ensure that all their decisions reflect their safety and health
intentions
