Extra activity worksheet: draw the letters with you. Then join the dotted lines on the board and complete

VOCABULARY Recording 52: Play the first part of the recording for children to listen to the

Join the letters: Point to the pictures and trace a line from the carton to the
letter with your finger and ask children to do the same Then they follow the line
again, this time with their pencil. Monitor carefully to make sure the children
are doing it correctly.

Consolidation
Writing practice: Ask children to open their Workbook and to do the
activities, which encourage children to trace and write the target letter. If time
permits, hand out copies of the letter J worksheet and ask children to trace the
letters in the first exercise and to match the words and pictures in the second.
