The AFC is scheduled to host AFC 20 – Stampede Fight Night on July 12th in Calgary, Alberta at
The TELUS Convention Center. This event will be hosting an expected 2000 live spectators in

buyers. It will be well marketed, in and around the city of Calgary, before and after the event.
The event and its sponsors will then be delayed-broadcast to 1.6 million homes in Canada via
The Fight Network as well as all Shaw Cable subscribers in Canada.
Networks around the world then regularly purchase the event for additional content to provide
to their customers. The reach of the AFC through its network of broadcasters include:
In sponsoring the AFC, you will align your brand to the largest and premiere operator of MMA
events in Canada. You will also tap into the Mixed Martial Arts community and its supporters,
which represent an attractive and specific demographic to target. MMA is the fastest growing
sport in the world.
MMA is more than a martial art, or combination of arts; it is a multi-billion dollar industry. It is
sold on pay-per-view television and showcased in training halls across Canada, the United
States, and the world. The popularity of MMA stems from 18 to 50 year old males and females,
a coveted demographic by advertisers. Statistically, these individuals are known to be more
active, have more disposable income, and are more willing to try new things.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), continues to drive significant growth, benefiting the
AFC. According to Sports Illustrated, the UFC scored pay-per-view revenues of $350 million in
2009, compared to $177 million for boxing and $151 million for WWE (World Wrestling
Entertainment). UFC events aired on Spike TV average more young men and women in the
coveted 18 - 40 years old demographic age group than the more established sports of
basketball, baseball, football, hockey, and NASCAR. An estimated 18 million North Americans
took part in some form of Martial Arts last year, of which 9.4 million were adults, 5.5 million
were teens, and 3.2 million were children. Of the 9.4 million adults, 63% were between the
ages of 18-34 years old.
Independent and official surveying of the MMA demographic reports:
Sponsorship of the AFC will yield prime reach into this demographic both locally and nationally.
AFC sponsors include Harley Davidson, Drako Fight Gear, Ellis Don, Moxie’s, Sandman Hotels,
and Chevrolet, to name a few.
