Day 7 Lesson 7: Word Formation

Suffix- group of letters added at the end of the main word to make a new word and new form.

Example:
Root Word Word Form Suffix New Form
happy adj +ness Happiness- noun
strength noun +en Strengthen-verb

Some common noun endings:


- tion Information - ery Recovery - ity Creativity
