CREATE AN EMAIL-ID AND INVITE FOR COLLEGE FEST

AIM:

Create an email account in Gmail. Using the account created compose a


mail to invite other college students for your college fest, enclose the invitation
as attachment and send the mail to at least 50 recipients. Use CC and BCC options
accordingly.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Open the Browser (eg: Chrome). Sign in to your Nandha Internet Login.

Step 2: Enter the website address in the Address-bar of Chrome


www.gmail.com and then click on Create Account and Choose “For Myself”
option and New registration form will appear on the screen, enter the
corresponding details and then click on submit.

Step 3: A new email-id will be created successfully.

Step 4: Create an Invitation for the college fest.

Step 5: Sign into your email account using internet explorer. Select compose
option and type the recipient’s email-id on the To Label, CC Label and BCC
Label.

Step 6: Enter file message in Subject Label and the invite message in Body of the
mail and click Attach option to upload the Invitation.

Step 7: Attach the file and then click on Send button. You will receive an
acknowledgement that “Mail Sent”.

2. REPLY AND FORWARD A MAIL

AIM:

Open your inbox in the Gmail account created, check the mail received
from your peer from other college inviting you for his college fest, and download
the invitation. Reply to the mail with a thank you note for the invite and forward
the mail to other friends.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Click on the particular email on Inbox for Reply.

Step 3: Open the email and click on Reply option and type the message and click
on Send option.

Step 4: You will receive an acknowledgement that “Mail Sent”.

Step 5: Go to inbox and select the same email to forward.

Step 6: Click on the Forward option and type the email-id of receiver and click
on send option.

Step 7: You will receive an acknowledgement that “Mail Sent”.

3. UPLOAD YOUR RESUME IN JOB PORTAL

AIM:

Assume that you are studying in final year of your graduation and are
eagerly looking for a job. Visit any job portal and upload your resume.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Open MS word and type Your Resume with the following Details (Name,
Age, Date of Birth, Qualification, Address, Languages Known, Computer Skills,
Projects, etc and Save it).

Step 2: Open Chrome and type the Job Portal website address (eg: naukri.com).

Step 3: Homepage of that job portal appear and select Register then a new
registration form will open, fill it with the details.

Step 4: Then click on browse option to upload your Resume and choose your
resume on the particular path from your computer and submit the form.

Step 5: Resume will be uploaded as well as a Job Portal User ID will be created.

4. CREATE MEET USING GOOGLE CALENDAR

AIM:

Create a meeting using Google calendar and share meeting id to the


attendees. Transfer the ownership to the Manager once the meeting id is
generated.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Calendar and Click Create button and
Schedule a Meet with information’s like Title, Date & Time, Location and
Description.

Step 3: Click “Add Google Meet video conferencing” then new Meeting ID will
be displayed and Click Save.

Step 4: Click Meeting in Calendar -> Select Edit option in “More Options”
choose “Change Owner” and give mail id of new Owner then press Change
Owner button.

Step 5: Copy the link and share the link to the attendees.

5. BULK IMPORT IN GOOGLE CONTACT

AIM:

Create a label and upload bulk contacts using import option in Google
Contacts.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Open Excel to prepare the bulk contact with Name & Email then Save as
CSV (Comma delimited) file.

Step 2: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 3: Open Google Apps option -> Select Contacts and Click Create label and
provide Label name as “College”.

Step 4: Click Import option and Choose “College” label in Import Contacts.
Select the CSV (Comma delimited) file “Select file” option and press Import.

Step 5: Imported Contacts will be displayed in the College Label.

6. UPLOAD E-CONTENT IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM

AIM:

Create your own Google classroom and invite all your friends through
email id. Post study material in Google classroom using Google drive. Create a
separate folder for every subject and upload all unit wise E-Content Materials.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Classroom and then choose Create
class and provide necessary information’s and then press create.

Step 3: Select People tab in the screen and then click invite Students’ icon type
Email of the students and then click invite.

Step 4: Select Classwork tab press “Class Drive folder” option.

Step 5: Click New button to create a folder as Internet and Upload the files related
to the subject.

Step 6: Select Classwork tab press “Create” button choose the Material option.
Frame the Title Press Add button -> select Google Drive -> select the files and
press insert.

Step 7: Click “Post” button to present the material.

7. SHARE A FOLDER IN GOOGLE DRIVE

AIM:

Create and share a folder in Google Drive using ‘share a link’ option and
set the permission to access that folder by your friends only.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Drive -> Click New button to create
a folder as Internet and Upload the files related to the subject.

Step 3: Right click the Internet folder and press share option to add peoples with
Viewer, Commenter or Editor rights then press Send.

Step 4: Click “Done” button to share the folder link.

8. MAKE ONE PAGE STORY USING VOICE RECOGNITION IN
GOOGLE DOCS

AIM:

Create one-page story in your mother tongue by using voice recognition


facility of Google docs.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Docs -> Click Blank button to open
new document.

Step 3: Click the Tools option and select the voice typing (Ctrl+Shift+S).

Step 4: Click the Microphone icon to Speak and Generate one-page story in
English Language.

Step 5: Click the Tools option and select Translate document option.

Step 6: Give document name and select Tamil from “Choose a language” option
and press Translate button.

Step 7: Translated document will be displayed in new tab in the browser.

9. CREATE REGISTRATION FORM USING GOOGLE FORMS

AIM:

Create a registration form for your Department Seminar or Conference


using Google Forms.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Forms -> Click Blank button to open
new form.

Step 3: Add Title and Description.

Step 4: Collect basic details like Name, Class, College, Email with short answer
question type.

Step 5: Collect additional details like Gender, Events to be participated with


multiple choice question type.

Step 6: Click Preview option to analyze the form and Add few sample records.

10. PREPARE QUESTION PAPER USING GOOGLE FORMS

AIM:

Create a question paper with multiple choice types of questions for a


subject of your choice, using Google Forms.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Forms -> Click Blank button to open
new form.

Step 3: Add Title and Description.

Step 4: Collect basic details like Name, Register Number, Email with short
answer question type.

Step 5: Collect additional details like Class, Gender with multiple choice question
type.

Step 6: Click Settings option -> Select Quizzes tab -> press “Make this a quiz” &
Save to make the form as Quiz type.

Step 7: Add required number of questions from the subject with multiple choice
question type.

Step 8: Set Correct Answer and Points to the questions.

Step 9: Click Preview option to analyze the form and Add sample records.

11. MAKE QUIZ AND GENERATE CERTIFICATE

AIM:

Create a Google form with minimum 25 questions to conduct a quiz and


generate a certificate after submission.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Forms -> Click Blank button to open
new form. Add Title and Description.

Step 3: Collect basic details like Register Number, Email with short answer
question type.

Step 4: Collect additional details like Class, Gender with multiple choice question
type.

Step 5: Click Settings option -> Select Quizzes tab -> press “Make this a quiz” &
Save to make the form as Quiz type.

Step 6: Add 25 questions with multiple choice question type. Set Correct Answer
and Points to the questions.

Step 7: Click More option nearby “Send” button, choose add-ons and install Send
Certificates.

Step 8: Click Add-ons option nearby Customize Theme, choose Send Certificates
and click Start.

Step 9: Send Certificates window will be displayed and click “Turn ON”. In
Certificate tab set the values for the fields such as Passing percentage.

Step 10: Click Preview option to analyze the form.

12. RECORD MEETING IN GOOGLE MEET

AIM:

Create a meet using Google Calendar and record the meet using Google
Meet.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Calendar and Click Create button and
Schedule a Meet with information’s like Title, Date & Time, Location and
Description.

Step 3: Click “Add Google Meet video conferencing” then new Meeting ID will
be displayed and Click Save.

Step 4: Copy the link and share the link to the attendees.

Step 5: Click More option nearby “Present now” button, choose Record meeting
and press start to enable Recording.

Step 6: Once the meeting is over, Click More option nearby “Present now” button,
choose Stop recording and press Stop recording to disable Recording.

Step 7: Recorded video will be stored in Google Drive as well we received as


mail.

13. MAKE PRESENTATION IN GOOGLE SLIDES

AIM:

Create a Google slides for a topic and share the same with your friends.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Slides -> Click Blank button to open
new slide.

Step 3: Add Title and Subtitle in the first slide.

Step 4: Right Click the first slide and select New slide (Ctrl+M).

Step 5: Right Click the current slide and select Apply layout to change the layout.

Step 6: Add required number of slides. Click the Present button or press
(Ctrl+Shift+F5) to Present from beginning then select Play button.

Step 7: Press Share button to Save and also Share the slide. Copy the link and
share it to your friends through mail.

14.DESIGN CERTIFICATE TEMPLATE IN GOOGLE SLIDES

AIM:

Create template for a seminar certificate using Google Slides.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Slides -> Click Blank button to open
new slide.

Step 3: Design a Certificate Template with Merge Tag such as {{full name}},
{{other identifier}} and {{other identifier2}}.

Step 4: Open Google Apps option -> Select Forms -> Click Blank button to open
new form and prepare a Questionnaire.

Step 5: Click More option nearby “Send” button, choose add-ons and install
Certify’em.

Step 6: Click Add-ons option nearby Customize Theme, choose Certify’em and
click Show Certify’em Controls.

Step 7: Certify’em Controls window will be displayed and click “Turn ON”. Set
the values for the fields such as Passing percentage.

Step 8: Click Template field and select Use a Custom Template then click Select
a New File to set Google Slide Template. Finally press Save Changes button.

Step 9: Click Preview option to analyze the form.

15. PERFORM CALCULATIONS IN GOOGLE SHEETS

AIM:

Create a sheet to illustrate simple mathematical calculations using Google


Sheets.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Sheets -> Click Blank button to open
new sheet.

Step 3: Add Fields Student Name, Mark1, Mark2, Total and Average.

Step 4: Type the details such as Name, Mark1 and Mark2 for required number of
students.

Step 5: Select a Cell where the Total Mark of the first student to be calculated.

Step 6: Select Functions from Menu and choose SUM then select the range of
cells to be added. Press Ctrl + Enter to apply the same function for successive
rows.

Step 7: Select a Cell where the Average Mark of the first student to be calculated.

Step 8: Select Functions from Menu and choose AVERAGE then select the range
of cells to find the average value. Press Ctrl + Enter to apply the same function
for successive rows.

16. SHARE INTERNAL MARKS VIA GOOGLE SHEETS LINK

AIM:

Create student’s internal mark statement and share the Google sheets via
link.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Sheets -> Click Blank button to open
new sheet.

Step 3: Add Fields Register Number, Test1 and Test2.

Step 4: Type the details for required number of students.

Step 5: Press “Share” button to share the sheet.

17. PREPARE CHARTS IN GOOGLE SHEETS

AIM:

Create different types of charts for a range in CIA mark statement using
Google Sheets.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Sheets -> Click Blank button to open
new sheet.

Step 3: Add Fields Student Name, Mark1, Mark2, Total and Average. Type the
details such as Name, Mark1 and Mark2 for required number of students.

Step 4: Perform the needed calculations.

Step 5: Select the first set of cells and choose Insert Chart from Menu and then
set the values for the fields such as Chart Type.

Step 6: Select the second set of cells and choose Insert Chart from Menu and then
set the values for the fields such as Chart Type.

18. DOWNLOAD GOOGLE SHEETS IN DIFFERENT FORMATS

AIM:

Create a mark statement in Google Sheets and download it as PDF, .xls and
.csv files.

ALGORITHM:

Step 1: Sign into your Gmail account using Chrome.

Step 2: Open Google Apps option -> Select Sheets -> Click Blank button to open
new sheet.

Step 3: Add Fields Student Name, Mark1, Mark2, Total and Average. Type the
details such as Name, Mark1 and Mark2 for required number of students.

Step 4: Perform the needed calculations.

Step 5: Click File Menu and choose Download menu item and then select
Miscrosoft Excel (.xlsx) to download the sheet as Excel file.

Step 6: Click File Menu and choose Download menu item and then select PDF
document (.pdf) to download the sheet as PDF file.

Step 7: Click File Menu and choose Download menu item and then select
Comma-separated values (.csv, current sheet) to download the current sheet as
CSV file.
