Cloud computing can be divided into three major categories,

 Software as a Service (SaaS)

 Platform as a Service (PaaS)
 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

IaaS offers entire IT computing infrastructure, provisioned and managed over the
internet. The key components of IaaS are used to replace existing development and test
environments, virtual machines, website hosting, storage, backup, networking, servers,
operating systems, middleware, data, and applications, and high-performance
computing (HPC).
The PaaS component of cloud computing offers a full development and deployment
environment in the cloud, including dev, test, QA, debugging, and deployment tools and
services.
SaaS is a software developed and hosted by someone else. Businesses or individuals
are able to use them as needed.

IAAS vs PAAS VS SAAS

 With IaaS, used by admins IT a provider supplies the basic compute, storage

and networking infrastructure along with the hypervisor -- the virtualization
layer. Users must then create virtual instances such as VMs and containers, install
OSes, support applications and data, and handle all of the configuration and
management associated with those tasks. Some examples of IaaS services are
Digital Ocean, AWS, Azure and Google Compute Engine.

 With PaaS,- used by developers a provider offers more of the application stack

than IaaS, adding OSes, middleware -- such as databases -- and other runtimes
into the cloud environment. PaaS products include AWS Elastic Beanstalk and
Google App Engine.

 With SaaS, used by end users a provider offers an entire application stack.

Users simply log in and use the application that runs completely on the provider's
infrastructure. Typically, SaaS applications are completely accessible via
internet web browser. SaaS providers manage the application workload and all
underlying IT resources; users only control the data created by the SaaS
application. Examples of SaaS include Salesforce, Dropbox and Google
Workspace.

A) Public Cloud
Based on a standard Cloud Computing model, a public cloud provides application
storage and offers various types of Cloud Computing services over the Internet. The
USP of a public cloud is that it allows hardware resource access to multiple users at a
time, using a wireless or remote network.

B) Private Cloud
Of the different types of Cloud Computing, this one offers exclusive services for a single
enterprise or organization. This provides great benefits to the user in terms of the
privacy of information and different types of cloud services it can avail.
C) Hybrid Cloud
As the name suggests, this type of Cloud Computing is a combination and integration of
public and private clouds. This way, it can offer you the best of different types of clouds
in Cloud Computing. It allows for greater flexibility in terms of data transfer and
increases an enterprise’s deployment options. This ensures great control and ease of
transitioning while providing everything at cost-effective prices.

D) Community Cloud
This type of Cloud Computing is designed to address the needs of a specific
community, like a business or an industry. And that is how it has derived its name. Quite
aptly, the different cloud services offered under this type are shared by members of a
community who share common goals or operations.
