THE BRIEF/INSTRUCTIONS:

Create a portfolio of documents consisting of

1. Powerpoint™ (15%)
Work to be submitted: The ‘Notes Page’ based view of the group presentation delivered on the
allocated Approved Document of the Building Regulations, the submission should clearly
indicate which slides you were responsible for producing and what notes you appended to
help you deliver your slides and submitted as a single file entitled ‘PowerPoint™ 2022’.

2. Word™ (20%)
Work to be submitted: The reformatted document ‘A Beginner’s Guide to the Printed Page’
together with ‘Word-processing Course Notes’ must be submitted as two parts of a combined
Word™ document with cover sheet, and submitted in a single file entitled ‘Word™ 2022’.

3. Excel™ (40%)
Work to be submitted: The ‘Simple Heat-loss Calculator’ spreadsheet and the ‘Dimensional Co-
ordination’ spreadsheet must be recreated and submitted on two tabs in the same Excel™
spreadsheet file entitled ‘Excel™ 2022’

4. Visio™ (15%)
Work to be submitted: Reproduce the ‘Trouble Shooting’ flowchart and the ‘Breakdown for Group
Report’ organograms on two tabs in the same Visio™ file and submitted in a file entitled
‘Visio™ 2022’.

5. Presentation (10%)
Work to be assessed: The group presentation produced on PowerPoint™ on the Approved
Document of the Building Regulations will be presented during a classroom session and
assessed by the tutor and the peer group.

LO 2 - Communicate effectively using IT facilities and produce professional documents.

The portfolio will be submitted electronically as a series of files each with submission cover sheet
(provided) to the Module Tutor via the submission portal for this element found on Blackboard.
