1. A costly and complicated federal program, the distribution of food stamps has been
severely criticized in the past as too expensive and too inefficient. Recently, food stamp
fraud has been documented in at least four different states in the United States. Given
the evidence of fraud, where the individuals using food stamps were far from needy, it is
a good idea to consider limiting, perhaps even abolishing, the program. Justified opinion.
2. The animals used in the laboratory research are treated in a scandalously abusive
fashion. In their pursuit of cures for human diseases, scientists do not seem to care how
they treat the animal subjects. Considered inferior beings, animal can be tortured,
starved, even killed, and no one cares. After all, the mistreatment is done in the name of
medical progress for human beings. Because animals have no language to voice their

award. The suggestion has caused an uproar among many members of the literary
