Installation Instructions for SRW-S1 to DFGT Adapter

1. Remove the eight (8) silver Philips head

screws holding the base halves together.

2. Carefully remove the top half of the base.

3. Unplug the 6-pin steering button connector

shown here.

You just simply need to unplug it from the circuit

board and set it aside. Leaving it connected,
even with the stock wheel and button's circuit
board removed, can produce electrical noise
triggering ghost button presses.

4. Remove the thirteen (13) screws from the

back side of the wheel. (9 shown in the image,
with 4 on the bottom spoke hidden from this
view)
5. Carefully remove the button face from the
wheel rim and then the connector from the
circuit board.

6. Remove the four (4) screws attaching the

wheel rim to the base.

7. Remove the stock wheel rim and gently push

the DFTG wires into the hollow DFGT shaft.

8. Align and then install the base puck.

There is a circular mark on the base puck

representing the bottom of the puck. Line that
mark up with the bottom of the DFGT shaft,
which is identified by the narrower gap between
the screw bosses.
9. Install the four (4) #10 x 1.25” (32mm) self-
taping screws ensuring the base puck tightens
down flat onto the base shaft.

10. Extract the seven (7) stock SRW-S1 screws.

Note: These are the only screws holding the

SRW-S1 faceplate to its paddle base. If you allow
the two to separate, buttons will escape.

11. Install the adapter plate assembly as shown.

12. Install the seven (7) 2.2mm x 25mm stainless

self-taping screws.

13. Optional. You can use the provided cable ties

to attach the SRW-S1 USB cable to the adapter
can as shown. (shown in yellow)

14. Slide the adapter assembly over the adapter
puck being sure to align the keys.

Note: Once the adapter is lined up correctly, you

will be able to see the threaded holes in base
puck through the holes in the adapter. You can
rock the adapter from side to side just slightly to
help reposition and align the adapter if needed.

15. Install the six (6) #8 x 1/2” (12.7mm) flat-

head hex screws through the adapter and into
the base puck. (3/32” hex wrench included)

Caution: The screws just need to be snug. Do not

over tighten.
