B - Driving

– “Egs” shift lever in neutral.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

– Turn on the ignition. N T F N R

The following indicators light up on the EGS :

- LED N (red)
- LED 2 red 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
- LED 8 (green) (immobile machine).
N T F N R
– Start up the thermal motor

B1 – FORWARD RUNNING

– Place the “egs” shift lever in Fwd.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

N T F N R

On the EGS :
- LED 2 lights up, green.
- LED N turns off.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
- LED 8 stays lighted green while the machine is immobile.
N T F N R
– Accelerate the thermal motor, the machine starts to move forward.
On the EGS :
- LED 2 stays lighted green.
- LED 8 turns off. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

N T F N R

B1.1 - To change speed (shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear)

– Give the “egs” shift lever a forward rotational impulse.

- LED 3 lights up green. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

- LED 2 turns off. N T F N R

– To shift from 3rd to 4th gear, accelerate the machine.

- Forward impulsion :
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
• Shifting from 3rd to 4th gear.
N T F N R
- LED 4 lights up green.
- LED 3 turns off.

Note 1 : It is possible to shift gear automatically (every 1.5 seconds)

by maintaining the “egs” shift lever turned forward while 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
increasing motor speed.
N T F N R

B1.2 - To shift down

– Decrease the machine speed.

– Give the “egs” shift lever a rotational impulse towards the rear. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

N T F N R

starting up.
• Start up will occur normally but the trolley will not be able to
move. The “egs” shift lever must be placed in neutral before
the desired direction is selected. N

SAFETY SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT

80-8-80-M.20EN
CONTROL BOARD FOR THE LOAD INDICATOR
The load indicator allows the user to know at any time whether the forklift truck has reached the maximum authorised load.

OPERATION

A - RED INDICATOR (VISUAL ALARM)

This indicator lights up when the forklift truck reaches 100% of the maximum
authorised load. The audio alarm is set off, and the red indicator A lights up. A
B - AUDIO ALARM SWITCH

Turns the audio alarm on/off. If the audio alarm is not used, the red indicator B1
shows that the audio alarm is off and only the visual one is in operation.
B1
C - TEST SWITCH

This switch is used to verify the correct operation of the audio alarm and the red B C
indicator light. Check correct operation every day before using the forklift truck.

ADJUSTING THE SAFETY SYSTEM

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

1 - PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT FOR THE SPRING WASHERS (with telescope retracted and the load on the
ground) :

- Loosen the lock nut (3) and unscrew the nut (4) sufficiently so that it is not in contact with the spring washers (2).
- Then, tighten this nut (4), bringing it into contact with the spring washers (2) Then tighten it 3/4 of a turn.
- Tighten the lock nut (3).

2 - ADJUSTING THE CONTACTOR (with a nominal load)

Nominal load table
- The trolley must be on a horizontal floor with a nominal load (see Trolley Nominal load
nominal load table) MLT 524 . . . 2400 Kg
- Position the load on the forks, with the horizontal telescope extended MLT 527 . . . 2700 Kg
150 mm. MLT 628 . . .
- Loosen the lock nut (9). MLT 728 . . . 2800 Kg
- Turn the screw (8) clockwise until the audio alarm goes off. MT 728 . . .
- Tighten the lock nut (9). MT 928 . . .
- Retract the telescope - the audio and visual alarms should turn off. MLT 632 . . . 3200 Kg
- Then extend and retract the telescope several times in order to verify that the safety system works. The
alarm should go off when the telescope is extended by 150 mm.
