TOURS AND TRAVEL

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

The Tours and Travel Management System is a


web based application. The main purpose of
“Tours and Travels Management System” is to
provide a convenient way for a customer to book
hotels, flight, train and bus for tour purposes. The
objective of this project is to develop a system that
automates the processes and activities of a travel
agency. In this project, we will make an easier task
of searching places and for booking train, flight or
bus. In the present system a customer has to
approach various agencies to find details of places
and to book tickets. This often requires a lot of
time and effort. We provide approach skills to
critically examine how a tourist visits and its
ability to operate in an appropriate way when
dealing with the consequences of tourism, locally,
regionally, and nationally including visitor security
and ecological influences. It is tedious for a
customer to plan a particular journey and have it
executed properly. The project “Tours and Travel
Management System” is developed to replace the
currently existing system, which helps in keeping
records of the customers details of destination as
well as payment received.

reports of package in this.
- Transportation Report : Generate reports
related to transportation
- Booking Report : All booking reports will be
available in this section
- Travel Agent Report : You can generate
filtered reports of travel agents
- You can generates the report of travel agent,
package, tour
- Transportation, Hotel Booking has facility for
dynamic search. So you can filter the records
run time
- PDF reporting has been integrated for
exporting of the report for Package,
Transportation, Booking modules
- We can create the CSV reports for package,
travel agent, transportation

- Transportation module: It manages all the


operations related to Transportation
- Booking module: Manages the booking related
functionalities

- Tour module: Tour modules contains all the


CRUD operations related to tour

- Hotel module: Hotel module contains all the


required functions which include adding,
viewing, deleting and updating hotel lists.

This project has a wider scope in future


and can be helpful to many. Since this
project is made in python and mysql which
makes this project wonder and innovative
and helps in clearing the concept of python
and mysql. This project also shows how
python and myqsl are connected together
in an application. This project can be
needed in future for tours and travel and
also this project can helpful to tour which
deal with their transactions online on
regular basis. This application can easily
implemented under various situations. We
can add new features and when we require.
Reusability is possible as and when require
in this application. There is flexibility in
all the modules.

SOFTWARE SCOPE:
-Extensibility: This software is
extendable in ways that its original
developers may not expect. The following
principles enhances extensibility like hide
data structure, avoid traversing multiple
links or methods, avoid case statements on
object type and distinguish public and
private operations.
-Reusability: Reusability is possible as
and when require in this application. We
can update it next version. Reusable
software reduces design, coding and
testing cost also simplifies understanding
which increases the likelihood that the
code is correct. We follow up both types of
reusability. Sharing of newly written code
within a project and reuse of previously
written code on new projects.

PROBLEM SPECIFICATION
- No use of Web Services and Remoting.
- Risk of mismanagement and of data when the
project is under development.
- Less Security.
- No proper coordination between different
Applications and Users.

In the present system a customer has to


approach various agencies to find details of
places and to book tickets. This often requires
a lot of time and effort. A customer may not
get the desired information from these offices
and often the customers may be misguided. It
is tedious for a customer to plan a particular
journey and have it executed properly.

- View about us : This module help the visitors
to see the latest about our websites.

- Contact and Feedback : Customer user. gives


the feedback about our services and send
query.

- Destination View : View all available


packages.
- Searching : User search tour package.
- View our booking details.
- View travel blog post.
- Change his/her password.

This project has been specifically designed to meet


the academic requirement of the Informatics
Practices syllabus for the student of class XII. We
are extremely grateful to CBSE for introducing the
project in Informatics Practices. This project has
given an ample opportunity to develop a sound
understanding of the principal and practical
bearing in Informatics Practices as well as the
relationship with the society. This has resulted in
exchanging any analytical interpretational and

OBJECTIVES

This application is develop to provide best


travelling services to the customers and travel
agents. We have developed tours and travel
management system to provide a search platform
where a tourist can find their tour places according
to their choices. This system also helps to promote
responsible and interesting tourism so that people
can enjoy their holidays at their favorable places.
This system also helps to develop tourism with
different cultures so that they enrich the tourism
experience and build pride. We develop this
system to create and promote forms of tourism that
provide healthy interaction opportunities for
tourists and locals and increase better
understanding of different cultures, customs,
lifestyles, traditional knowledge and believes. This
system also provide a better way to connect with
various events.
This system also gives tours related information
like which places are tourist attractions, cities, and
provinces. Tourist can also get the Map and
navigation system and temperature and weather
information. Tourist can also book tours through
our tours and travels management system. This
system also keeps a history of visited places of its
users.
Administrator Modules :
This module provides administrator related
functionality like from this module use can add
route information, bus information, train
information, flight information, tour packages,
travel packages, bus seat details, etc. From this
module Admin can view daily, weekly and
monthly report. This module is develop for admin
of the website and admin can add, delete, edit and
view the data related to places, travels, routes,
bookings from this module.

Hotel Modules :
Details of the hotels in which the accommodation
of the customer will be done during the tours.
Details like availability of meals, station-pickup
and drop facility and

customers on special request.

Package Modules :
User can view different tour packages available for
tourist. User can select any packages from this
module he can also check the details of various

post feedback after the journey and they can share
their experience. Users of this application can post
their opinions, complaints and suggestions

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
By the use of the system it becomes very easier on
the part of management to calculate cost estimates
as user can put all the data in once.
-Through detailed analysis, we can conclude the
following advantages:
1) It is customisable as per the needs of the user.
2) System provides simplicity in planning by
taking care of the details.
3) It becomes convenient for users to book their
tour online instead of visiting agency. Thus, it
saves time and money.
4) Automates the manual booking, payment and
customisation process.

DISADVANTAGES OF TOURS AND


TRAVEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

-Following are the disadvantages of the


management system:
1) Require reliable internet connection and large
database.
2) It is restricted to certain amount of options.
Hence, it provides limited options to the user.
