OpenTouch Suite for SMB H2-2016 introduces the new flavor of SMB PBX called OXO Connect R2.
OXO Connect R2 has a new licensing model based on a unique license: Universal Telephony License (UTL).
OXO Connect R1 has not been launched, only tested internally.
The principle is that for each period of 6 or 12 months (depending on countries), we deliver to the market a
new OXO Connect release. The life cycle of software releases, defined in 3 steps, is summarized in the
table below.
During the Life Cycle of the SW releases, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise can shorten the Active Commercial
Release period or substitute its obligations on a specific release N with a release N+1 providing:
➢ Access to release N+1 free of charge ( no HW upgrade except the possible memory extensions )
➢ Release N Hardware compatible with release N+1.
In this case, we go directly from the Active Commercial Delivery period to the Phase out period.
The right for Alcatel-Lucent to substitute a release N by a release N+1 is subject to the following rules:
➢ Access to release N+1 is free of charge (no HW upgrade except possible memory extensions)
➢ Release N Hardware is compatible with release N+1.
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise shall respond to problems with the Software Contractual Product based upon the
severity of the problem according to the following definition:
Critical: The End Customer's live production environment, telecommunications network, or major business
application is down, causing a critical impact to business operations (e.g. severely degraded service
quality, continuous disruption of service)
High: The End Customer's environment is not down, however, there is a severe impact or degradation to
business operations or development activities (e.g. degradation of service quality, intermittent disruption
of service, blocks integration work, delays final system or acceptance testing).
Medium: The business operations of the End Customer are noticeably impaired but are able to be continued
(e.g. some degradation of service quality, impaired network functionality, or occasional disruption of
service).
Low: There is minimal impact on the business operations of the End Customer, or the End Customer
requires information or assistance on Alcatel-Lucent product capabilities, system installation, or
configuration.
Alternative solution for phase-out version is the active release for most of the cases.
OmniPCX Office R7.1.2 End of Life was December 2013.
Sales add-on are closed 5 years after the sale of the last new system for a given release in the generic offer.
The following table presents the OmniPCX Office / OXO connect release policy.
