Activate: How do architects plan houses and buildings.

I. Objectives:
1. Use line sand shapes to design a house.
2. Give the importance of an architect .
3. Show proportion in designing houses and buildings.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: “Be a little architect”
Materials: Paper, Pencil, Ruler
Values: Creativity, Critical thinking

III. Procedure
A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
- Greetings
- Prayers
- Checking of attendance
B. Motivation
 Review the class about the different kinds of lines and shapes.
 Make the students draw a house that is made of different lines and shapes.

C. Presentation/Discussion
 Discuss with the class what is an architect and it’s importance, especially in the
field of arts .
 Explain the proportion in designing houses and buildings.

D. APPLICATION
● Try to draw a proportionate house with the use of different lines and shape.
IV. Evaluation
Answer the following questions:
 What is the importance of an architect?
 How is proportion used in art?
 Is it necessary to have a perfect proportion in building houses and buildings?

V. Assignment
Study the recent discussion and prepare for a short quiz.
