Language: Structure and Comprehension.

Communication is the special capacity of people to communicate their thoughts and ideas

with the assistance of certain verbal signals and written signs which include the precise

meaning and can be effectively recognized by the participants of the communication

process. Meaningful messages, signs, and symbols are united in a complex known as

language. Thus, language may be described as the complicated strategy which is

employed by people in order to interact with each other.

Words, phrases, and texts may be utilized successfully when the individual who listens to

or reads them can absorb the message effectively. Cognitive psychology explores the

strategies according to which people may perceive, comprehend, and grasp the

characteristics of language. From this point, the language processing is complex, and it

is strongly connected with the man’s intellect. The individual perception and interpretation

of language as well as capacities to organize ideas in the form of sentences to represent

the given meaning should be examined in the subject of cognitive psychology (Parkin,

2000). (Parkin, 2000). However, in this situation, the components of linguistic cognition

should be additionally evaluated with references to behavioral patterns utilized by people

to convey their ideas and thoughts. Thus, language is the complicated phenomena which

is intimately related with the human mind since a lot of cognitive processes are achieved

with the assistance of language. To communicate, individuals share information in the

form of words which have the specific sound pattern and which are united in sentences.
However, individuals get the concept of the message only when they perceive and

interpret the words and phrases effectively. These processes are cognitive. Moreover, to

comprehend and identify words, individuals need also have the definite understanding of

language and its terms and structure. Thus, individuals need also memorize words in the

form of lexicon and know how to mix them in order to communicate the specific notion.

As a consequence, language processing and human cognition with all its aspects and

parts are strongly related.
