Duties and Responsibilities of The Pharmacist
Dispenses medication, Interprets prescription orders and provide information and advice
regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
Recommend OTC devices or medication options to help mitigate individual symptoms to
patients.
Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, prescription, patient profiles, charge system
files, inventories, and registries of controlled drugs.
Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, or evaluate the
quality or effectiveness of drugs or drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications
or characteristics.
Responsible for ordering and purchasing of pharmaceutical supplies and drugs
Maintenance of stocks, storing and proper handling
Compliance with drug laws as regulated by the Board of Pharmacy, the Drug
Enforcement Agency and by the Food and Drugs Administration.
