2. There are four folders: (i) Lab Guides (ii) Lecturer Slides (iii) PDF Module and
(iv) SRP Player Software.
3. Please download all materials in these folders to your PC or laptop. You must
have a Windows operating system to ensure that the softwares will be
successfully installed and operated. Please check if the softwares can be run
in non-Windows operating system. Some softwares may be run in other
operating systems.
4. There will be four softwares used in this course. One can be found in the
folder - SRP Player Software. The other three softwares must be downloaded
from the link given here. Please download and install all softwares prior to
attending this course.

• All softwares are either opensource or freeware softwares provided by
the respective publisher (owner) except SRP Player which is a
commercial software bundled with the CNC machine. The SRP Player has
been provided by the authorised distributor for the milling machine
Roland Modela MDX40A. Participants are allowed to use the SRP Player
software throughout the course only. It is advisable that the SRP Player is
uninstalled once the course has ended.
1. Copy all folders in the SRP Player Software into a temp directory.
2. Go to SRP Player Installer and double click the setup.exe file. Follow the
instructions to install this software.
3. Go to SRPPlayer_ver142_updater and double click the Updater.exe file.
Follow the instructions to install this update.
4. Go to 25D_WIN8X64_v120 and double click the SETUP64.EXE file. Follow
the instructions to install this software. The Driver Setup window will
open. Select Install. Then, select Model: Roland MDX-40A and Port: FILE.
Click Start. Close the Driver Setup window when the installation is
completed.
5. Run the SRP Player program. Running the software for the first time may
require some configurations. Setup for these configurations will be shown
during the course.
