    B. ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

    I. Rationale

    College Day is being celebrated every second semester. This would help us to bond
    and promote camaraderie and interactions among Faculty, staff and students. This
    CHTM Day 2020, we have chosen “A Glimpse of Philippine Festivals” as our theme.
    Festivals play a vital role in in the cultural development of an individual and bring us
    closer to our culture and religion as well as allow us to understand the culture of people
    from other places which is very helpful in the industry we are in.

    This event will be organized by the students of MICE BSHM 2-C, to be attended by all
    CHTM students to give them new learnings about some of the Philippine festivals and its
    diverse cultures here in our country as well as hands-on experience in celebrating
    festival they are assigned of.

    II. Objectives of the Activity

    Specifically, this activity aims:


    1. To give students new learnings to students about some of the major festivals in
    the Philippines and their cultures
    2. To develop event organizing and management skills

    CHTM Day 2020 is a whole day activity in collaboration between MICE Class
    BSHM 2C and CHTM Faculty and Staff. There will be showcasing of Festivals,
    Festival Dance, Ms. Festival Queen 2020 and Festival Booth Competition in the
    morning and battle of the brain activities like Quiz Bowl, Tourism Debate and
    Tour Guiding contest in the afternoon. Furthermore, Evaluation Sheet will be
    distributed to the participants at the end of the whole day activity as well as
    event report will be submitted by the event organizing committee as part of the
    requirement of MICE class.
