To raise awareness to students about
Sexually Transmitted Infections or Diseases.
Provide them information about the said
diseases like causes, effects and how we can
prevent he spread of Sexually Transmitted
Diseases.
Introduction
•What is STI An STI?
is an infection passed from one person to another person through sexual
contact. An infection is when a bacteria, virus, or parasite enters and grows
in or on your body. STIs are also called sexually transmitted diseases, or
STDs. Some STIs can be cured and some STIs cannot be cured. For those
STIs that cannot be cured, there are medicines to manage the symptoms.

•Prevention There are several ways to avoid or reduce your risk of STDs or STIs.

》Abstain. The most effective way to avoid STIs is to not have (abstain from) sex
》Stay with one uninfected partner. Another reliable way of avoiding STIs is to stay in
a long-term relationship
》Wait and test. Avoid vaginal and anal intercourse with new partners until you have
both been tested for STIs
》Get vaccinated. Getting vaccinated early, before sexual exposure, is also effective in
preventing certain types of STIs. Vaccines are available to prevent human
papillomavirus (HPV), hepatitis A and hepatitis B.
》Use condoms and dental dams consistently and correctly. Use a new latex condom
or dental dam for each sex act, whether oral, vaginal or anal

There will be a fee that is needed to be paid for the talk and poster making contest.
And the fees that will be collected will be donated to the people suffering with STIs.
The talk will be discussing about Sexually Transmitted Infections/Diseases. The
speakers will be providing information about the diseases, the causes, how it affects
the person that has the disease and how we can prevent the spread of it. The poster
Making Competition will be categorized. In each Grade level, there will be 10
participants competing. The theme of the poster is STI, how we can prevent the
spread of it. 2 best posters from each category will be selected.
