A mouse is a device that allows us to send commands to the computer

easily. It has a long wire that is connected to the back of the system unit.

The moving object that we see on the screen is called a mouse pointer.
We can control the movement of the mouse pointer and it follows the
directions given by the mouse. The mouse has its body parts like our body.

Basic Parts of the Mouse

Long wire
Palm rest – this is where we put our palm when we are using the mouse.

Long wire – this is where the signal flows to send commands to the mouse
pointer. This is attached to the system unit.

Track ball – this is the ball inside the mouse. It allows the cursor to move around
the monitor screen.

Mouse Buttons – a mouse usually has 2 to 3 buttons and these are the left
