1. What have you learned from the Development of Science Discoveries in

our History?
Understanding and explaining nature's laws is what science is about, and

it's what science does. Scientists conduct research, which leads to the discovery of new
information. In some cases, the application of this knowledge may not be immediate.
Despite the fact that modern technology involves systematic research, its results are more

tangible than science. In other words, it's a chemical, a process, or a product that can be
bought and sold. New technological advances have facilitated many scientific discoveries.
A new scientific understanding has often led to the refinement of existing technologies or
the invention of entirely new ones in response to new scientific knowledge.
2. In your own experience, how do you use science and technology in your daily
living and in your community?
Almost everything I do in my daily life has science at its core. The entire
world is made of science, from using a simple cellphone with cellular data to using
larger machines, and its numerous innovations have only made it easier for me to
spend my life more comfortably than ever before. Without science and its
inventions, society will inevitably descend into the Stone Age, and we will be unable
to live a sophisticated life. I can't imagine my life without electricity, without the
mobile phones, landlines, and internet services that I now rely on. All of science's
inventions have brought the world closer to me and enabled the sharing and
transfer of information from one end of the globe to the other.
3. How can we assure that the concepts of Sustainable Development and

Environmental Protection are integrated in our progressive developments as
individual and as society?
Rather than an environmental issue, sustainable development is more

of a societal one. Education and healthcare improvements are required to make
significant improvements in human capacity. Transforming our settlement patterns will
benefit both the global population and the environment, for example, by providing
‘smart' infrastructure, adequate housing, and high connectivity. Science, technology,
and innovation must all contribute to long-term development. Much depends on how the
world uses the Information Technology revolution whether it continues current trends or
inverts them by asserting societal control.
4. What must be the role of the Local Government of Camarines Sur in the development
of Science and Technology for its Sustainable Community?
It is the lowest level of government in the country. Since it serves as a training

ground for national political leaders and a medium of communication between the people
and the upper tiers of government it is very essential because it is very near to the people.
When community people get together to take collective actions and find answers to

common challenges, community well-being in economic, social, environmental, and

cultural terms typically results. Development of a community can take many forms, from
minor activities within a small group to big initiatives involving the entire community. As
far as I know E-Government is a continuous process for the local government of
Camarines Sur, which considers regional development as a support to the idea of
inclusionary growth. By virtue of Executive Order No. 47 series of 2011, the Philippine
government must pursue certain policy steps and develop a roadmap to operationalize
an e-Government Master Plan.
