    MBEC Oprec Requirements

    1. First of all, please add MBEC’s official LINE (zpc6290u) and follow MBEC’s
    Instagram account (@mbec_club) to receive information about the recruitment
    test.
    2. Make a CV with a 3x4 self portrait of yourself and must written in PDF file or
    Jpeg file (with HD resolution)
    3. Send the CV to email : [email protected] with mail subject
    Oprec_CV (your name)
    4. If you interest in Creative Media Division, please send your portfolio to email :
    oprecmbec2021@gmail,com (It may Instagram Design and Art Account/
    Design in general/ YouTube Account, etc)
    5. The recruitment dress code :
     Debate : Formal attire (white formal shirt with collar )
     Speech : Formal attire (Participant must wear white shirt and black jeans)
     News casting : Formal attire; white shirt and black pants or skirt (t-shirt
    and jeans are not allowed).
     Story Telling : Participants must wearing polite clothes (white collar shirt
    and black pants/skirt) *wearing costumes and using properties is a
    plus.
     Speeling Bee : Formal attire (white shirt and black pants or skirt)
     Scrabble : Semi- formal attire (T-shirts and jeans are not allowed)
    6. The recruitment test will be held on:
     DEBATE, SPEELING BEE AND SCRABLE :
    Conference call via Google Meet on 11th September 2021 (Morning
    Session)
     NEWSCAST, STORRY TELLING AND SPECH :
    Sending video on G-Drive link with deadline (1st-3rd September 2021) and
    Conference Call via Google Meet on 11th September 2020 (Afternoon
    Session)

     Here some regulations and things that you should prepare for each division

    1. SCRABBLE

    a. Time : 5 - 7 minutes / person


    b. Themes or topics :
     Basic knowledge about scrabble
     Know at least some of 2 letter words
    c. Technical audition : Conference call via Gmeet
    d. Dresscode : Semi- formal attire (T-shirts and jeans are not allowed.)

    2. SPELLING BEE

    a. Time : 6 - 7 minutes / person


    b. Themes or types :
     There are 3 types of words. Each type of word includes 5 Words.
    1. Easy Words : 5 words
    2. Medium Words : 5 words
    3. Hard Words : 5 words
    The total of words are 15 words for each person.
     Rules :
    SAY-SPELL-SAY :
    APPLE / A – P – P – L – E / APPLE
    e. Technical audition : Conference call via google meet.
    f. Dresscode : Formal attire (white shirt and black pants or skirt)

    3. DEBATE

    a. Time : 5 - 7 Minutes / person


    b. Participants must pick one of these motion :
     This house believes that environmental scientist should exaggerate data on
    climate change and its possible impact.
     This house believes that governments should prioritize policies that reduce
    social inequality over economic growth.
     This House supports the creation of exclusive schools for students that
    identify as LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer).
    c. Technical audition : Conference call via G-meet with script requirements
    d. Participants must prepare their speech script before the audition starts
    e. Script must written in words file with format : NAME – NIM – DEBATE
    f. Send the script to email : [email protected]
    with mail subject : Oprec Debate Script 2021 – NAME
    g. Participants must deliver their arguments for at least 5 minutes and
    maximum 7minutes.
    h. Participants are allowed to choose their side whether they are affirmative or
    opposition.
    i. Participants are allowed to bring the paper notes or script (only hard copy
    format) they have written before.
    j. Participants must wearing formal attire (white formal shirt with collar)
     Requirements :
     One script for judges
    Deadline scripts : 1st-3rd september

    4. STORY TELLING

    a. Time : 5- 7 minutes / person


    b. Themes or topics :
     Folklores
     Fairytale
     Witches
    c. Technical audition : Video on Gdrive & Conference call by Gmeet
    d. Deadline : 1st – 3rd september 2021
    e. Participants should upload their Video and Story Text on Google Drive

    i. Participants are allowed to deliver the story from the internet or own created
    story.
    g. Participants are not allowed to edit the video and zoom the camera
    h. Participants are not allowed to read the text while recording the video
    i. Participants must wearing polite clothes ( white collar shirt and black
    pants/skirt)
    j. Wearing costumes and using properties is a plus.

    5. SPEECH

    a. Time : 4 - 7 Minutes / person


    b. Themes or topics :
     How our differences make us unique
     Learning from your mistakes
     Feels shy to talk to others and how to overcome it.
    c. Technical audition : Video on G-drive & Conference call by Gmeet
    d. Deadline : 1st – 3rd September 2021
    e. Participants should upload theirs Video and Speech Text on Google Drive

    i. Participants are not allowed to edit the video and zoom the camera
    j. Participants are allowed to read the text while recording the video
    k. Participants must wearing formal attire (Participant must wear white shirt and
    black jeans)

    6. NEWS CASTING

    a. Time : 2 - 3 Minutes / person


    b. Themes or topics :
     Economy.
     Politics.
     Health.
     Technology.
    c. Technical audition : Video on Gdrive & Conference call by G-meet
    d. Deadline : 1st – 3rd September 2021
    e. Participants should upload theirs Video and News Script on Google Drive

    reputable news portal such as CNN, BBC, TheJakartaPos.
    k. Link sources should written in the file of news script.
    l. Participants are not allowed to copy paste the news script and must create
    their own news script (opening, content, closing).
    m. Participants must wearing formal attire; white shirt and black pants or skirt
    (t-shirt and jeans are not allowed.)
