A. Give and explain 3 characteristics of OBE.

The characteristics of OBE are student-centered, faculty driven,


and meaningful. It is student-centered because the learning process
focus on the learners as an active agent of learning. The teaching
and learning experiences and students capabilities are aligned to the
student learning outcomes as a main goal of every students towards
effective learning. Next, it is faculty-driven because it encourages to
be responsible as a good facilitator who possess mastery of the
subject and demonstrates various instructional/ assessment methods
that would motivate students for better learning. Lastly, the teaching
and learning environment is a meaningful in a sense that OBE is a
framework that enables both teacher and students employ and
engage into teaching and learning environment in which valid and
upgraded methods of instructions and assessments were observed.

B. Distinguish among institutional, program, course and


instructional outcome.

 Institutional outcomes means statements of what the graduated


of an educational institution are supposed to be able to do
beyond graduation.
 Program outcomes, to complete the degree or program, this is
what graduates needs to comply.
 Course/Subject outcomes are what students should be able to
demonstrate at the end of a course or a subject.
 Learning or instructional outcomes are what students should be
able to do after a lesson or instruction.
C. Rewrite the statements in order to make the statement
correct. There is cue given in each statement.

1. Because of knowledge explosion brought about by the use of


computers in education the teacher ceased to be the sole source of
knowledge.

2. At the present, the teacher is the facilitator of knowledge by


assisting in the organization of facts and information.

3. The change of focus in instruction from content to outcome is


known as Outcomes Based Education.

4. A Good source of learning outcomes statement is Benjamin


Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives.

5. Education comes from the latin rootword "educare" or "educere"


which means "to draw out".

6. In the past the focus of instruction was content outcomes.

7. "Pagbibigay sa mag aaral ng kaalaman at pag unawa tungkol sa


tao, kapaligiran at lipunan is an example of educational
objectives.

8. Ability to communicate in writing and speaking is an example of


immediate outcome.

9. Student and teacher are the two/main elements of the


educative process.

10. Nailalarawan ang sariling buhay simula sa pagsilang hanggang


sa kasalukuyang edad "is an example of learning outcome.

organization with regards of planning.

weaknesses.

2. Assessment

a. Midterms and final exams as summative assessment.

b. Oral recitations as a formative assessment.

c. Pre test and post test as diagnostic and summative assessment.

3. Evaluation

a. Determine the effects ICT based Instruction towards students’


academic performance

b. Assess the school management system for academic year 2020-


2021.

c. Evaluate methods use by teachers in their teaching practices.
