COURSE SYLLABUS
A leading green institution in higher and continuing education committed to engage in quality instruction, development-oriented

The course aims to provide students with a broad overview in the basic concepts in business policy and
strategies. Students are exposed to a number of models in the industry environment and firm level resource.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Together with management consultancy, this course serves as an integrative course to be taken in the last
semester.

At the end of the course, the learners are expected to:
1. Discuss the nature, key terms of business policy and strategies.
2. Explain the basic concept of strategic management process and its planning process.
3. Be aware of the external environment of organization and its manager through environmental scanning.
4. Describe the significant role of organizational vision and mission statement and how it can benefit the organization.
5. Know and understand strategy formulation, power P’s, power and growth strategies, and balanced scorecard.
6. Gain insights on strategy implementation and strategy evaluation and control.
7. Be aware of the social responsibility of every business.
