Please find enclosed the circulars stating the details of Internal Assessment-Term1.
The Internal Assessment will be in the form of Projects, Assignments, Activities and
Presentations. The students have to be prepared with the materials and data as mentioned
in the individual subject circulars. The project will be completed in the class.

GRADE: 8
Students will be assessed on Aural and Oral skills in the class during guided study time.

1. Listening Skills [Aurals]: First week of August 2021

A passage will be read aloud twice. Students have to answer an objective type test based
on the passage.

2. Speaking Skills [Orals]: First week of August 2021

The student will be made to prepare a speech and present it in class. The topic will be
given 20 mins [approximately] in advance and students will be given time to prepare the
speech. He/she will have to speak for 2 minutes.

REVIEW YOUR FAVOURITE STORY
The student has to prepare the following assignment:
 The students can pick a story of their own choice. They must find relevant information about-
character sketch, theme, setting and plot- of the chosen story.
 The assignment has to be submitted to the teacher on the assigned day.
 The student will present his/her written assignment in not more than 200 words.

The project will be completed in the class during the guided study time in the first
week of August 2021.

Students will be assessed on Creative Writing in the class.
1. Creative Writing:
 The topics for Creative Writing will be given one month in advance.
 Criteria for evaluation are Content and Presentation.
 The student will present his/her opinions in a written assignment of not more than 600 words.
