• GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) is the national level entrance test for

admission to M pharm in various institutes and colleges across in Post graduate courses.
It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). All India Technical Education Council
(AICTE) has previously been responsible for conducting the GPAT entrance exam.More than 800
institutes accept GPAT entrance scores.GPAT rank is valid even up to 3 years.

• IMPORTANCE OF GPAT

• M.pharm is one of the most important degree to get higher posts in


pharmaceutical industry. GPAT qualified candidates not only have
advantage to receive scholarship over M.Pharm admission but have
chances of placement in best companies of the world in the best pay scale.
• GPAT qualifiers are also eligible for NIPERJEE.
• GPAT qualified candidates are also eligible for various government fellowship.
• GPAT qualified candidates are eligible for admission in PhD at various universities of
India.
• ELIGIBILITY
.The candidate should have passed class 10th and 12th examination from any
recognized board to be eligible for the GPAT exam. He/ She must be a bachelor's
degree holder in Pharmacy (4 years) to be eligible for the GPAT exam. There is
no age limit set for candidates applying for Graduate Pharmacy
Aptitude Test (GPAT).

• SCHOLARSHIPS
• The two major kinds of GPAT scholarships _ AICTE PG scholarship and Chair’s junior
research fellowship for GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. These scholarships can be
obtained during post graduation and also under research fellowship on the basis of a
valid GPAT score.
• The scholarship is also provided to candidates studying in ME and MTECH courses
through GATE score.
• Candidateslookingto avail this scholarship should meet eligibility criteria as
specified by AICTE
• First they must have a valid GPAT score and studying in the first year of M
Pharma. However, such course much be a full time course and should not
be a part time score .
• This scheme would be applicable for GPAT/GATE qualified candidates
studying in AICTE approved institutes. Sponsored candidates are not eligible
for this scholarship. Similarly ,candidates who are obtaining any other
scholarship or financial assistance from central or state government are not
eligible for the scholarship.

• PROCEDURE FOR SCHOLORSHIP


• Procedure of the scholarship is to be initiated by the institute in which
candidate studying, and not by the student himself. First of all, The college
upload the data of all the eligible candidates on AICTE 's portal.
• After uploading the data, a unique ID number for each student is generated
and the institute has to distribute these identification numbers to the
students.
• After the unique identification number is generated, students has to reach
out the official website www.aicteindia.org, and upload the necessary
documents. The documents to be uploaded are :

• GPAT score board of candidates Scanned copy of the first page of passbook
of candidate’s bank account.
• Scanned of valid caste/category/domain certificate (if applicable).

• After uploading of documents , your institute will verify the documents


submitted by you and will approve your candidate for the scholarship.
• And if a candidate fulfill all the requirements, he/she will start receiving the
benefit of scholarship directly in his/her bank account under direct benefit
transfer (DBT) scheme .
• It is a gate for prestigious institute like NIPER, IIT, BHU, M.S .Baroda ,H.S.
Gour, Jadavpur University, DISPAR and many more.
• If you will make in to above mentioned institutes , your annual or semester
fee is nominal so no financial burden. You will get a stipend of 12,400/- per
month.
• That is more than enough for your college fee and expenses throughout
your masters. You can travel to other states of country to pursue your
master degree.

• GPAT CUTOFF 2021 National Testing Agency (NTA) is the competent
authority to release the GPAT 2021 cutoff for aspirants who have
successfully appeared for M.Pharm entrance exam. Authorities will release
the cutoff of GPAT along with the result tentatively in the first week of
February. The cutoff of GPAT 2021 is the minimum qualifying marks for
M.Pharm aspirants. Aspiring students are required to secure the marks
above or equal to GPAT 2021 cutoff to consider for admission for
postgraduate pharmacy courses. Candidates who appear for GPAT exam
will be shortlisted on the basis of the cut off marks, specified by the
participating institutes. The GPAT cutoff 2021 varies for the various
categories. The GPAT 2021 cutoff will be determined on various factors like
total number of appeared candidates, difficulty level of the exam,
availability of total seats for granting admission. On the basis of cutoff
scores of GPAT, participating institutes will conduct the counselling process
for granting M.Pharm admission.

• BENEFITS OF TAKING GPAT EXAM ARE AS FOLLOWS:

• A national level exam, GPAT or Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is


conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for
admissions to Masters M.Pharma programmes in the country. Students
who clear the exam will be eligible for admissions to AICTE approved
colleges accepting GPAT scores in India.
• The exam is conducted for admissions to 24000 seats of M.Pharma
programs offered by as many as 841 participating pharmacy institutes.
