Task : Designing a bandpass and bandstop filter using low
pass and high pass filter.
Question :
In this activity, a passive bandpass filter and a bandstop
filter are to be designed and simulated separately. Both the
filters are to be designed using a low pass and high pass RC
filter. The designed filters should operate between 1 kHz
and 30 kHz. Assume that both the resistors of low pass and
high pass filter have values of 10k Ω.
Objective :
1. The designed bandpass filter should allow a range of
frequencies above 1 kHz and below 30 kHz while the bandpass
filter should suppress the same range of frequencies.
2. Simulate the circuits in PSPICE and plot the magnitude vs
frequency graph.
3. Write a report which clearly shows screen shots of the simulated
circuits and the relevant graphs. Also show the calculations
required to get the desired values of capacitors.

For BandPass Filter :
Procedure :
1) First of all go to draw menu and take new part OR simply press
ctrl+g to pick components.

For C2 :- C2 = 1 / (2*pi*Fc*R)
C2 = 1 / (2*3.14*30k*10k)
C2 = 1 / (1884M)
C2 = 0.53078nF
C2 = 530.78pF

11) We can change the places of capacitor as HPF and LPF are in
parallel and voltage is same in parallel circuits.

12) Now to show the graph first go to setup analysis then click
on Ac Sweep.
16) For finding attenuation graph we click on add trace and then
by its formula as db = 20*log(Vout / Vin) as shown

17) So the voltage gain graph in terms of dBs is
