ASSIGNING A PROGRAM CHANNEL TO A PE (PROGRAM ENTRY)
For Affiliates outputting both HD and SD from a single D9858 – PE 2 must initially be assigned
to a different channel from PE 1 to allow for ASI/MoIP output sync as the receiver cannot
output the Network in HD and SD on the same output values for channel, PMT and PID. The
channel to which the receiver is tuned will be changed to match at the end of Configuration #2
or Configuration #3 and will define the video content.
1. At the Start-up Menu, enter 14 and press SELECT to change PE1 to 14 (NorthWest HD)
2. Press ADV on the keypad (the diamond will move in front of PE1). Press ▼ to change to PE2.
3. Press ADV again (the diamond will move back in front of the channel number) and enter 15 and press SELECT
to change PE2 to 15 (NorthWest HD Alternate) – this is required to initially synch the ASI and/or MOIP1
(MPEGoIP) outputs.
4. For Affiliates only outputting either SD or HD on PE1 from a D9858 – PE 2 must be set to 0 (zero).
5. Press ADV and press ▼ to return to PE1.
6. Press ADV again to return to the channel # selection.
7. You will ONLY be able to view programs from PE1 on the composite monitoring port (the composite monitoring
port is automatically downconverted to an SD signal).
