Objective
To verify Thevenin, Norton & Maximum power transfer
theorems.

Equipment and Components

PC, PSpice Tool.

Procedure
1. In OrCad Capture, setup the following new schematic
2. Set the components values as indicated

3. Use Pspice to find VTH and RTH

4. Use Pspice to find IN and G
5. Now you can draw both Thevenin and Norton equivalent
circuit
6. Use Pspice to find the maximum power transfer (hint: use
Thevenin equivalent circuit)
7. Present and Compare your results with theory
Procedure:
First, we will be using PSpice Tool to make the circuit.
Then, we added:
-VDC
-The resistors, ADC and E Analog.
-The ground and connected them using the Place wire

After that, that I make a value for: VDC=2v R1=4, R2=2,

R3=2, R3=2, I1=5ADC, I2=0ADC and E Analog=2.
3. Use Pspice to find VTH and RTH

VTH= 26V
26−20
RTH= 1−0 = 6Ω

4. Use Pspice to find IN and G

IN = 3.3333
3.3333−3.15
G= = 0.1833
1−0

5. Now you can draw both Thevenin and Norton equivalent

circuit.

6. Use Pspice to find the maximum power transfer (hint: use

Thevenin equivalent circuit).
First, we will be using PSpice Tool to make the circuit.
Then, we added:
-VDC
-The resistors.
-The ground and connected them using the Place wire.
After that, that I make a value for: VDC=20, R1=6, R2=RL.

-find the maximum power transfer.

The maximum power transfer is 16.667 at R=6.
