What I Can Do

1. What is the importance of using Microsoft Excel?

 Using Microsoft Excel is beneficial as it is significant for it makes
statistical analysis so much easier not to mention, accurate in its
calculations. Using this spreadsheet application is especially
important to people associated with the business world for Microsoft
Excel can organize their business system and process data and
information with the use of its invaluable calculation tools. Teachers
benefits greatly to this application for it organize their students'
grades. Students can also use and learn early financial planning
essential for their future.

2. Determine other instances where you can use the COUNTIF, SUMIF,
and AVERAGEIF functions.
 If you want to count only the number of cells within a range that meet
your specified criteria, using the COUNTIF function will do the trick.
For example, a pizza delivery man wants to count the number of
times he delivered pepperoni pizza from his first to the second month
recorded on his spreadsheet since he was hired. He can use the
COUNTIF function for his specified criteria to be met.
 If you want to add only the cells that meet your specified criteria,
using the SUMIF function will do the trick. For example, Willow wants
to calculate the total expense of all her 'Water bills' from last year.
She can use the SUMIF function to quickly calculate her specified
condition.
 If you want to average only the cells that meet your specified criteria,
using the AVERAGEIF function will do the trick. For example, a
student wants to find out the total average for her examination grades
only. She can use the AVERAGEIF function to meet her specific
criteria.
3. How does Excel interpret data?
 Excel gathers related data items into one location and stores them in
systems of cells integrated into columns and rows that composes a
single data value, with textual and numeric types able to be stored.
After collating data, they can be processed in an arithmetical sense
that enables you to gather insights in existing data sets using the
functions, references and formulas contained in excel cells. Excel
spreadsheet has also filtering processes which include organizing
and applying specified conditions or criteria. The functions COUNTIF,
SUMIF and AVERAGEIF can meet these filtering processes. Excel
has proper tools that can visualize your data sets within the
spreadsheet into a chart or graph.

3. An equal ‘=’ sign 8. IF 13. Cell
4. TRUE 9. TRUE 14. TRUE
5. Cell J9 10. TRUE 15. Bold outline
Additional Activities

1. List at least five benefits of using Microsoft Excel.

 Efficient tool for data analysis
 Stores and collates data into a single location
 Contains functions, formulas and references that allows you to
glean insights in existing data sets
 Offers a range of common filtering processes that include
sorting and applying conditions
 Can transform a data set within a spreadsheet into a chart or
graph that you can format.

2. How can Microsoft Excel help you as a student?

 Using this application can help us learn and solve basic and
logical-mathematical problems and statistics in excel.

3. Why do you think Microsoft Excel is important in any business

organizations?
 I think having Microsoft Excel is a must if you are a business
owner or worker, to an either small or big establishment, to
efficiently manage and be productive of whatever your business
is. This useful software application can be used in varied
business operations such as product and service valuation,
