Crash Data

• Crash data was obtained from the Minnesota Crash


Mapping Analysis Tool (MnCMAT2)

• 21 total crashes from January 2010 to February 2020

• The largest number were angle crashes (12) between


northbound/southbound vehicles and
eastbound/westbound vehicles.

• There were 0 fatalities, 0 serious injury, 6 minor injury, 5


possible injury, and 10 property damage only.

Intersection Level of Service

Intersection capacity is presented in terms of Level of Service (LOS), which is defined in terms of
traffic delay at the intersection. LOS ranges from A to F. LOS A represents the best intersection
operation, with little delay for each vehicle using the intersection. LOS F represents the worst
intersection operation with excessive delay.

• Traffic Signal – Rejected because volume warrants are


not met
